There is no movie in Ba Sing Se http://www.reddit.com/r/laogai
While a lot of the writing in Prometheus was dumb and not thought out, I think a lot of it can be explained through a sequel, which I'd totally be okay with.
That still doesn't explain the absolutely abysmal behaviour from the scientists and the whole expedition. If those were the best group of scientists that humanity had to offer, I would abandon all hope. They acted like smalled scared children or totally unprofessional.
Prometheus was ridiculous
The original script was so much better. Damon Lindelof really fucked everything up. Nearly every plot hole in the film was created by him and his shitty writing.
I don't know why there isn't a thread about it but American Hustle is a must see film, of the year, the decade and should be on the "before you die" list. I haven't been that satisfied walking out of the theatre for a very long time. It evokes the spirit of Scorsese gangster films but with a fresh coat of paint. Everyone was phenomenal in it (except maybe Bradley Cooper, I don't really care for him). Here's the trailer, I've been so pumped to see the film ever since I watched this and it's as good as the trailer makes it seem: [editline]20th December 2013[/editline]
Prometheus was ridiculous
One of the worst fucking movies I've ever seen that had so much potential for greatness. Why does that Damon Lindlof whatever still have a job?
Why does that Damon Lindlof whatever still have a job?
Because people prefer to remember the good stuff, and he's the guy responsible for LOST which was awesome. And later really, really shit. And he's good friends with J.J. Abrams so there's that. Same with "Her" - no release till Valentine's Day (and I think it's not the best movie for a date on Valentine's Day). At least I'll be able to watch "Wolf of Wall Street" right after Christmas.
I'm looking for animated superhero movies. Movies I've seen and loved: The Dark Knight Returns: Part I* especially these two. The Dark Knight Returns: Part II* Batman and the Red Hood Flashpoint Paradox
I've heard Batman: Year One was good, but a little on the short side.
Justice League: Doom Batman: Mask of the Phantasm Batman: Gotham Knight
Is it just me or do we have the same requests on every page? I would get it if somebody posted a request after watching something a bit different with some specific parameters.
I need something that captures Cold War climate perfectly. Like Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, or The Lives of Others. Spy story would be preferable.
Spy Kids
I'm looking for a movie from the 60s or 70s. I don't recall the title at all. It was about the election of a new Pope in Rome and the Vatican choosing a Russian Cardinal from the Soviet Union. Any clues to the name?
I looked but nothing I couldn't find anything that matched what you said exactly Any other things you can remember? A character name? Locations?

The Number 23. The Mist. High Tension. Twelve Monkeys. Source Code. Moon. Shutter Island.
I need something that captures Cold War climate perfectly. Like Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, or The Lives of Others. Spy story would be preferable.
James Bond?
To those who recommended the super hero movies, I love you. I watched them all and loved them all.
James Bond?
Too wacky and fake. I need something more depressing, better at capturing the bleakness of Cold War.
Need a new (21st century) blockbuster that's good and that I haven't seen. To check what I've seen click here.
Requesting a new series I can watch. I'd prefer some sort of over natural elements a-la Doctor Who, Heroes, or Fringe. All 3 of which I have seen and loved.
