modernly made depressing as fuck post apocalyptic movie like the road
Threads Seriously bleak, but it's an 80s movie, so not sure if you consider that "modernly made."
Scariest film out there?
The Chiller channel has a nice collection of cheap-o horror flicks. Most of them are decently scary and pretty cheesy, but occasionally you'll find a diamond in the rough.
something with an artistic/experimental edge sort of like Drive
Pretty much all of Nicolas Refn's films. Valhalla Rising, the Pusher Trilogy.

Any historical movies that are good based in the time of the Roman Republic/Empire? I've seen Gladiator and The Eagle, but I can't find any more.

Revenge movie like Law Abiding Citizen?
Revenge movie like Law Abiding Citizen?
Kill Bill is the best revenge movie
Revenge movie like Law Abiding Citizen?
korean revenge movies are good. I Saw The Devil or Oldboy (law abiding citizen is terrible)
Revenge movie like Law Abiding Citizen?
Harry Brown or like Rusty suggested a Korean movie. Pretty much every Korean gangster movie has the main character taking revenge on people halfway through. Examples: The Man from Nowhere, A bittersweet Life, Sunflower.
It's been said, but Kill Bill's another good revenge movie.
Looking for heist movies like Inside Man.
Revenge movie like Law Abiding Citizen?
Oldboy.
Bank robbing films?
The Bank Job The Killing Reservoir Dogs Inside Man
Looking for heist movies like Inside Man.
See the above, minus Inside Man. [editline]4th January 2013[/editline] The Town isn't bad either.
and Heat
Oh, fuck yeah, Heat. I can't believe I forgot that one.
You know what else I can't believe, we forgot Dog Day Afternoon
I watched perks of being a wallflower and really enjoyed it, do any of you guys know any similar films? Someone I know suggested Mysterious Skins, which follows the same kind of storyline but it wasn't as good.
So, I'm kinda searching some good war movie that takes place in a snowy region. I always loved movies with snow in them.

I'm looking for a movie that will a) make me feel inspired or b) make me want to go on an adventure. Kind of open but I haven't seen many movies.
For adventure: The Indiana Jones films and Romancing the Stone should be pretty good.
