Don't buy a 3D TV you'll look like a retard with the glasses in 3 years when 3DTV with no glasses becomes more widely avalible.
I know, only reason I haven't bought one yet though.
It's just a gimmick. I prefer movies in 2D. No extra money spent on glasses and extra cost to see it in 3D.
Have nothing against it, just that 3D never wow'd me, so I'm not gonna spend extra cash on it. Also watching it in 2D means no wearing those pesky glasses. Not having them to wear and just sitting there normally like you would everyday just feels more "natural".
Just go see them in 2D. What's the problem..
i do think current 3d movies are awful
but thats because these movies were MADE IN 2D THEN CONVERTED TO 3D!
seriously look it up

I doubt all modern movies (excluding animation movies) originally were filmed 2d though.
how about you don't watch it in 3D if it bothers you this much
3D is just the new fad. It'll pass.
avatar made 2.7 billion dollars thanks to 3D and lots of theaters spent money making screens 3D capable. It's not gonna pass.
I've been to the cinema 2 times in 3D, and I swear to god that shit doesn't work, at least not for me.
Yeah, I've noticed no difference in the few films I've seen in 3D.
I hear some people just naturally can't see 3D the way they show it, don't know why.
Robot Monster from 1953 was showed in 3D
That movie sucked so bad
I welcome our new 3 dimensional overlords. They just need to stop making it a big deal and just have it as an option for most movies, not a gimmick.

clash of the titans and the last airbender were filmed in 2d the coverted to 3d to cash in on avatars success
thats why the 3d in those movies looked bad yet the 3d in avatar was so good
avatar was made in 3d instead of just being converted to 3d
and many of the movies about to be released in 3d are just converted from 2d (excluding the animated ones)

facts bitch!
The major problem with this latest barrage of 3D films is that there is zero interaction with the audience. Literally, the only time I've seen 3D used correctly is in the theatrical ad for the Toy Story 1 & 2 3D re-releases.

What's the fuss? All 3D films also come out in 2D. It looks amazing. You just seem a bit whiny

Hahah don't count on it - from what I can tell, current trends suggest that 3D will only become more prominent and at some point will be an integral part of films.
Sad but true.
The only good 3d movie was Avatar.

It's everything but new though. in 1950's and 1980's 3D made an appearance. Although now as big as now, it will just blow over again eventually.
I think it'll just blow over like before, but it will definately stay with us much longer than it did last time 3D films reached a peak in popularity.
My problem with it is that it seems most movies are just pumping the fact that it's 3D rather than having any sort of plot.
I saw Despicable Me and the whole thing was a shameless 3D add.
It costs the studios a couple thousand dollars tops to make it in 3d, and then they can charge another $5 per ticket because of it...its a money maker.

Even on my monitor, that looks fantastic.
3D is annoying and the new thing. It sells, so it's gonna be around for a while.
Also, Peter Jackson was seen shooting scenes with a 3D camera while filming King Kong. Expect that coming soon.
3D is terrible, I just saw Phirana, my first 3D movie and wow it's terrible. I see no point in it as it does not immerse me into the movie anymore than a regular one would..
3D films aren't supposed to do the insane depth that you see at amusement parks and stuff; they just make it feel more realistic. That's what I see anyways.
