I've done it before, punch him in the kidney then grab the arm with a weapon in it with your right hand(With your knife in the left of course), then you have a free shot at his armpit coming from below when you pull his hand to the side and towards you. then it should be easy to swing him around and do it to his other shoulder, or the back of his knees if you don't want him to run away.
This works in basic fights against opponents that haven't had advanced CQC training
Sounds way to complicated to be applied in CQC, seriously CQC is so basic and common sensey, people think 'OH MAN GONNA DO SOME NINJA SHIT RIGHT HERE WITH BACKFLIPS' when most of it just just joint manipulation :v:
Also, when you punch a guy in the kidney, he'll withdraw his weapon and change stance, he won't just stab wildly at you. Seriously sounds like you got this shit from a computer game (Although it sounds fucking awesome)
lol, and I'm thinking too complex.
It's way harder not to kill someone in a fight, could just slit his throat after the kidney punch, this way is a good way to immobilize someone without leaving obvious scars, and is easily repaired and doesn't make the person lose much blood.
That is awesome, but i dont think it would work for me mostly because i dont have the strongest grip, and im not very big.
That's why it's so great and doesn't matter what size you are, as soon as you get a grasp on his wrist he just can't stab effectively (Unless he rotates) But if your lucky it'll buckle under little pressure and then you just basically jump into them forcing the knife in with a huge amount of weight :v:
It is all a matter of what you are good with. I much prefer to use it down. That is just more suited to my fighting style.
You're corny as fuck and you don't even realize it. I can bet good money that a very large pecentage of people reading this thread collectively cringed when they read your post.
I think you need to go socialize some more.

Kidney, solar plexus, kicking him in the nuts, all works on people without training that doesn't have resistance/doesn't know what to do if hit there :v:
And to be honest, I prefer neither I usually use smaller knives like this:

Easy to conceal, wide blade, extremely sharp.

Where would this be applied? To subdue a target you usually have to do it without them screaming :v:
not if you have your arm up across your chest. and if its a fist fight that happens to have a knife. then the person would have to reach up and behind your fist to get you to stab yourself. the only way i can see it happening is if you are holding it fps style about a foot away from your body, and even then if the person managed to get you with your own knife, you probably should have just run from the situation.
Well, using your logic, while holding your arm in front of your chest, you can keep yourself from getting stabbed with your own knife, just by moving your armed arm higher than the other one.

This ^
It's pretty much the badass feeling you get when wielding a knife blade down, feel like altair and shit y'know :colbert:
[editline]03:58PM[/editline]
But no, kids if ever you are faced with a knife, the best tactic is to run the fuck away, if you're not fast enough you ded bro.
You can also stab if your holding it down. You can slash up then on the way back down to your normal position you could stick em.

I don't know about you, but I don't wanna spend several years in prison because of some chav who thought it was a good idea to mug me.

Totally remembering this for the future
I heard butterfly knives are technically the fastest to pull out. Meaning if you had a switchblade and a butterfly in the same location on your body, you could spin it faster than a spring would push the blade.
That is if you practice.

I explained it pretty bad I guess I use one arm to move the arm up and out of the way to make an opening.

Don't try it, you'll most likely lunge at the guy attempting to grab his wrist while he just takes a step back and lunges back :v:

no locking mechanism other than you squeezing it, i wouldnt trust that in any sort of combat situation

If some chav mugs you at knife point, let him have your shit. Aint worth your life bro

id only do it if it was a last resort. otherwise id try to get them in the kidneys or back from behind

Best knife to have is a Stiletto, just sayin'
no locking mechanism other than you squeezing it, i wouldnt trust that in any sort of combat situation
Worked well of me so far, and if you hold it between your index finger and middle finger like a claw, you can get some pretty nasty stab and twist wounds out fast.
id only do it if it was a last resort. otherwise id try to get them in the kidneys or back from behind
Last resort? Forearm blocks knife stabs (you will sustain a lot of injurys but it's protecting your internal organs) one hand on throat, squeeze and pull back.
Best knife to have is a Stiletto, just sayin'
Bit hard to conceal though, the best attack in a knife fight is surprise.
Just throw it.

knives are sharp and dangerouse we dont have sharp things here.:downs:
Bit hard to conceal though, the best attack in a knife fight is surprise.
Lmao, no. Knife concealment is amazingly easy, ESPECIALLY with a Stiletto. Let's do a test, go get a 8 inch long knife, and hold it blade down, now roll your fingers around the pommel and make a fist. Blade is invisible to targets in front, and if matte black it's almost invisible to people from behind. Clenched fist makes you look like you're going for a punch when suddenly a thin blade slips between their ribs and they can't do anything :v:

Nah, I just didn't refresh the page and I couldn't see your answer.

How are you gonna get that out of wherever you conceal it without it showing though?

And you, you're just as corny as that other guy. Tell us of your many knife fights and how you looked into their eyes as they took their last breaths merely inches away from your now bloody blade.
Knife have two common attack
Stab
Slash
Either way they are both dangerous
Which one trains your defense? :downs:

I don't go for possibly lethal hits, as I said earlier, I try to immobilize them, not neutralize them. And I don't count them, I don't take pride in my skill, I resent that I have to use it on someone, but sadly I have to sometimes. I only use weapons when the other person is though, since there's no need for excessive force if the person doesn't have a weapon.

Uhm, turn your wrist and it's in attack position :V in a split second you could jab with it.

I think you're looking at this the wrong way :v:
