that dodge looks ugly and uncomfortable bubble
fast sportscar, maybe, luxury car? no.
Dodge Zeo. It's a concept car at the moment but hopefully it is actually manufactured.

Dodge is about cool badass muscle cars and it should stay that way.

if you drive slow enough you can scare your neighbors
Prius - When you want a small, slow and expensive car with a complex electrical motor system that uses more fuel than any modern economical diesel
Prius - When you want a good reliable, fuel-efficient hybrid vehicle that doesn't use fuel that freezes in Canadian winter temperatures.

It's horribly inefficient, compared to most small Turbodiesel cars.
Like the VW Fox 1.4L TDI.
That was a real plug-in electrical car with a generator at least lol.
And it passed the EU crash-tests.

More efficient than frozen diesel.

The heater is in the car for a reason.

As awesome as it is, it's supposed to be a military vehicle. Hardly "luxury".
More efficient than frozen diesel.
Most block heater can heat up the engine in 25 minus degrees celcius condition in mere seconds.
And the batteries in a Prius can't handle those temperatures without degrading rapidly in capacity.
Lexus, no.
Maybach 62S Landaulet

Yeah the Maybach 62 makes the cars on the OP list look like fucking hotwheels.

That has a lifetime energy cost greater than that of a Humvee.
Turns out that batteries take a lot of very bad chemicals with very nasty side effects to make. The frame also requires relatively exotic lightweight materials, which again require nasty forms of production. Which in turn makes the production of a single Prius ridiculously harsh on the environment.
Now couple this with the little known fact that the prius clocks in at a lifespan of only 100,000 miles followed by the unpleasant process of scrapping a vehicle made almost entirely out of environmental toxins and you start to realize that having a vehicle with low emissions may have a higher cost than you might assume.
In contrast, the H3 is made largely of simple steel and uses a sturdy relatively simple diesel engine and will run reliably for an estimated 300,000 miles followed by a far more simple disposal process.
Good job Prius buyers, you now not only drive a slow and ugly piece of shit, you are destroying the environment SUBSTANTIALLY more than the assholes driving H3's. Gold star.

I wasn't defending the Prius as much as I was attacking Diesel.
Priuses are pieces of shit, but I just fucking hate Diesels.
Where's Maybach, OP?

Lol, diesels aren't that bad, high MPG and 1.9 turbocharged isn't that slow POS for regular speeds.
And why do you do that?
They're excellent for hauling, and are generally more reliable than gasoline engines.
Only thing that's more prone to failure are the turbo's and fuel delivery system in old one's (80's and back).
And new Diesel engines doesn't sound like tractors, more like a low revving gasoline engine.
Opinion.
how the fuck can you have a thread about luxury cars without mentioning bentley or maybach

I own one actually, it's not bad to drive at all, the engine sounds nice in the high ranges (1.9 liter turbo diesel, 180 HP)
there is just an enormous amount of room, a fridge, tv, awesome seats, on the inside, it's a masterpiece for what it costs, but the outside... *puke*
