My dad used to have an '06 S350 - pretty much the same body, same interior, smaller engine. We thought that the 2001-2005 s class was better. Sure, the new interior is awesome, especially with the tiny lights hidden under the wood strips in the doors. But the old model's suspension was a lot more comfortable. I mean, what's the use in having an air suspension when it's hard as fuck? And all you can do in terms of adjustment is make it even harder. We asked our Mercedes dealer if they could make it softer for us, but they said they couldn't.
As for luxury vehicles, I myself would like to get me a 118 Wallypower..

4 small electric motors mounted in each hub for powering the car.
Small bank of batteries/supercapacitors to take advantage of regenerative braking from the 4 small electric motors, and to cruise around in city.

I agree, the Bugatti Veyron is among the most luxurious vehicle on the planet... but definitely THE FASTEST.
I mean, you could probably do 350Km/h (217.4 Mph) and it would feel like you're cruising around town
