What really makes me cringe isn't the gore, the dead body humping or the eyeball-drilling, it's really the fact taht it serves no purpose. It's just gross. Not thought-provoking, just bodies being mindlessly ripped apart.
I mean, if you look at Antichrist or American Psycho (the book, believe me; it's just as bloody), they both serve a purpose, they're meant to make you think.
