Well Christ everybody if the mouth breathing inbred fish people on Deviantart can ask for 15 dollars for one of their tutorial driven kawaii nightmares I don't see why you can't take advantage of the internet's gullibility. Remember, it's not called groping for money, it's called entrepreneurial spirit. [editline]10th December 2010[/editline] And I drink milk. Because milk is fucking boss.
I don't know who to ask, no one really watches my shit cause i don't draw sonic I'm just trying to score some flamecow a call of prypjat :smith:

They may as well have a £40 point and click because they suck at photography so much. I don't even do photography and I look at their stuff and know I could do better. They have no grasp of composition what-so-ever. They seem to think that whacking the exposure up = good picture. Either that or desaturation.

Has anyone had an experience with someone who was used to dealing with traditional art, and then they discover Photoshop? It's not a pretty site.
OH this definetly. Some time ago I had a quirrel with this dude on deviantart. Hang on, maybe I can still find the profile. http://madmax7373.deviantart.com/gallery/ The stairway was the last photo when I was fuckign around. He was all bitchy but after I uploaded my photography he suddenly shut up. My mom will change the lighting so that people don't look human. Also when taking out red eye, she makes people look bloodshot and alien-like. And she's a great artist, she's got her art in resorts all over Florida and all over America, but yet with Photoshop... I don't know how that works.
How about the Color Splash app? So hipster. [editline]10th December 2010[/editline] i.e

Oh, I know. How about when they put song lyrics in colored funky texts right over their portrait? :D Doesn't that look so awesome, you guys?

Oh god I was working on this digital thing while thinking how much it is like watercolouring. All of sudden my tablet pen was inside my tea cup.

HAppened before. I was workign on that ship watercolour, I was sick during that time again and I was drinking coldrex. I'm totally spaced out, thinking about infrastructure or some shit, when all of sudden I notice how the red had turned slightly orange. Thinking about that I leant back and had a sip of coldrex. I took instant notice that it tasted different than last time.
Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwgross. eh, I've eating acrylic paint before. Just a small bit by accident. Plus I can't seem to avoid getting it on me when I paint. Ever.

Why is matisse's snail considered art again? [editline]10th December 2010[/editline]

But, if you make it in under 30 seconds and can explain its meaning for longer than 30 seconds, someone out there will gladly pay for it if you ask me.

Of course he was dying in his bed when he made that.

However, if you can't make dick and then make a piece of five second shit and refuse to improve because it's your "style" and it has "a deep meaning", then you can shove a meat tenderizer up your ass.
there enlies the difference between 'fine art' abstract painters and a 12 year old with MS Paint. Artists are worth more dead than alive, but something that bridges that gap, places itself as one of the last works ever made, that's something special. I still wouldn't buy it.

God damn I tell you shattering my knee and grinding my life to a halt for several months is the best thing that ever happened to me. Now I've got time, music, and a fuckload of drugs to deal with the crippling anxiety and paranoia that lead to me not noticing the very large car that ran me over last month. I tell you, life is sweet, but it's so much sweeter on vallium.
Hahah. Yeah been sitting home for 3 weeks with a small desease. Spent whole time drawing. HAven't learned so much in 3 years of school.
Hahah. Yeah been sitting home for 3 weeks with a small desease. Spent whole time drawing. HAven't learned so much in 3 years of school.
I like you, you're good people. And that's not all just the manic high brought on by lack of sleep talking. Most every artist I've talked to agrees that the best plan is to learn the technical bits from school and do the rest on your own. Which makes sense, seeing as how most of the art schools I've been to resemble either pristine though altogether un-artistly assembly lines or fucking crazy ass heroine addict infested crack houses. PS. Protip, if you plan on going to Cal Arts, don't get into the hot tub.
I'm an autodidact. First offical art school is going to be whenever I get accepted into Estonian Arts Academy.
