It's hard not to argue on here when some people express their opinions so forcefully. Also since there is no authority figure in this sub-forum, someone that everyone can look up to to solve debates on art, there is no perceivable end to the arguments. It's useless to try to establish a mediator, though. Art has turned into such a broad topic, sometimes I wish I could just cut off the traditional realist drawing and painting and keep it separate from everything else, because I'm not interested in the other stuff very much or at all. Everyones' varying opinions on what art is is the real basis for so many arguments. At least that's my guess at it.
