Well this is music as well.

Trying to get that lineart right, but you're in a state when if your life depended on pulling a straight life, somebody would be raping your dismembered, charred corpse right now. Annoyed you lean back on your chair trying your hardest to remember what you did half an hour ago while coughing your lungs out.
As you come aware of your surroundings: the how candle is causing the shadows to flip the fuck out, this song nearing its climax and how the blizzard outside hid the street infront of your window again,
it hits you: the warm, embracing feeling, that if everything ended this instant, you wouldn't mind.
I seriously considered making a Quarian costume, and after looking at how oddly broad and stiff the males were I actually considered just being tali to fit my figure. :saddowns:

Oh god no
I mean I may just be against the idea because I'm a clumsy fat asshole who could never pull off a cool costume, but seriously don't do that.
hey what this thread exists? Neat.
dA is getting kind of boring, I just use it as my e-gallery.
I can careless about the community there.
Someone unknown bought me a year-long subscription too, I appreciate that.
I don't think I've gone on DA for the longest time. I posted a couple of works of fiction there but they were completely ignored, so fuck DA. Besides, I get much better feedback here. DA is kinda like youtube in that only the 'artists' with tons of followers ever get their work noticed. Everyone else just has their stuff on the 'new posts' page for a few minutes. Good for uploading art that you want to show people on forums and so on, of course. The community is pretty shite too, so yeah..
*random shitty anime fandrawing*
OMG UR SO GUD I WISH I CUD DRAW LIKE UUUU~

Most people there, and I am not just being a generalizing asshole.
"OMG that is soooooo amazingg!<33 I'd favorite you 10000 times if i could so can u do the same for me xD :)))"
You should try actually cirtisizing some of their work, It's hilarious to see the shitstorm that brews from that.

something I found to lighten the mood
Favorite drink when working? I don't drink anything when I'm working because it distracts me too much. Is that weird? If I get thirsty, I'll take a five minute break but only if I'm in a rut.
Favorite food when working? None. Food generally implies junk food which is both greasy and bad for you. When you work, you tend to mindlessly eat and I hate doing that. Chips have those tiny ass flavor particles that rub off on anything including my charcoal drawings which I have done before and my computer's keyboard. The particles get stuck in the massive pockets of the paper which are meant for deep charcoal rubbing and you can't get them out.
Favorite music while working? When on the computer I like to blast hardcore music and work like a madman but when I'm doing physical work I prefer orchestral music at an even pace.
As I mentioned in the "I'm 12 and how do I draw" nostalgia thread, I seem to gain a boost of inspiration when super drunk. I should try that more often.
[QUOTE=daijitsu;26591430]I think that was one of my first photoshop paintjobs... before that, I would draw on paper (which turned out much better), scan it onto the computer, bring it into MS Paint, then do whatever black/white magic I did to turn it solid white/black, then manually erased or drew in pixels as need be, then painted using the line tool and paint bucket. Was proud, haha.
Here's a little something;
'07 self portrait
[img_thumb]http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs20/f/2007/280/0/6/first_dev_ID_by_daijitsu.jpg[/img_thumb]
'09 self portrait (first thing I had painted in a year)
[img_thumb]http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs45/f/2009/070/f/4/the_New_Dai_by_daijitsu.jpg[/img_thumb]
'10, took a year after the last painting to paint again, and I got super drunk and woke up to this on my screen yay

I have no idea how I'm improving with random painting but I am I guess. I gotta do it more often but I've been WAY overstressed with work and such to really sit down and feel inspired.
Maybe I should get hammered again[/QUOTE]
I just remembered about when I'm high. I feel like I'm super good at art and I tend to bust out photoshop and make stuff for my friends on facebook. When I wake up in the morning and look at the work I saved, it's quite shit. I mean...really shit.
[QUOTE=daijitsu;26608756]As I mentioned in the "I'm 12 and how do I draw" nostalgia thread, I seem to gain a boost of inspiration when super drunk. I should try that more often.[/QUOTE]
I'd post my self portrait but I can't scan in 18x24 size paper.
And half my USB ports are broken so I can't plug in my scanner.
Or my camera.
I improve the most whenever I enter a contest, no matter I win or not.
finally got done with a freelance work i did for some smalltime indie company. Been waiting for this moment for so long.
[QUOTE=onox37;26608668]Favorite food when working?[/QUOTE]
oh god oh god
I always munch on snacks, I love chex mix or something a little less messy like peanut M&Ms... but I just confirmed once again that in EVERY bag of peanut M&Ms the last damn peanut always tastes like a fart and ruins your day like nobody's business.

OMG how come I didn't think of that, it is so darn easy!
[editline]10th December 2010[/editline]
I just ate some sashimi, I eat every 4 hrs or so :x
so I am always eating when I'm working.
I eat real food, snacks, and etc. just nothing greasy.
I prefer food with mild taste.
I cook most of the food I eat anyways.
eaten once a day for past 3 weeks
Doing wonders for my figure.
I can wear my sisters skirts with ease now.

You have a healthy routine in other words.
Every 4 hours is what's recommended. The whole concept of dinner is also wrong, as you're supposed to spread out even meals throughout the whole day rather than one big meal in the middle and small ones before and after.
I eat when I eat. If I don't work I wake up in lunch time or inbetween lunch and dinner time. In most cases I forget to eat until we have dinner like... 4-8 hours afterwards. If I work I eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. For breakfast I have three slices of bread and for lunch I have four. Dinner is whatever we have obviously. I eat before I go to bed too in most cases, but it depends on when dinner was.
8:30
I wake up in the morning, eat cake/bread/etc and have a bottle of yogert
12:00
Done with first class, eat lunch.
Usually eat at a noodle place.
4:30
Done with classes
Eat fruits
7:00
Dinner time.
Cook grocery items to make real food
11:00
Fruits/snack/or even real food
Fruit alone, I can finish a dozen of palm-size tomatoes in a day xD

You got the boobs and hips for that?
:byodood:
Skinny in general, her hips are exaggerated so I'd have to extend that even for a girl
oh jesus, here I've been blathering on about how I hated art history and now I've gone and put it to use
also I'm drunk. I should find my tablet.
[editline]1:11[/editline]
why the fuck isn't anyone talking
also

Everyone was sleeping.
Just got up.
I'm starting to growingly hate the lit time of day of winter with each day
how dare you all sleep grr
lost my buzz, still kinda pickin' at the painting though any improvements feel like they're bad so it's sitting at pretty much the above screenshot's stage. What do you think, should I keep up with durnk drawin'?
also I think my dergon needs lips but I love the toothy alligator look... maybe if I closed the mouth up a bit with an opposite side to give the mouth depth it'll look better
canine skull was the reference

as soon as I send you your shit you go all non-responsive.
I stare at a piece of paper for ages, try to draw what I want, get angry and stop drawing.
Yeah
The simplest goddamn pose possible digitally. I can't do it and I lose my shit.
[editline]11th December 2010[/editline]
Took a shower and now all of sudden I got it to an acceptable quality.
Lesson: Don't use orange for lineart.
digital sketching is a load of balls
you can't hold a pen right with a tablet
and it's too thick
i can't wait for them to improve on that shit because it's fucking annoying.
That's why I'm a pencil whore
pencils are fast, light, efficient, and you can do almost anything with them.
Guys I started drawing about a couple of weeks ago and I wondered if there is a book on like color theory or something like that. Like where should I draw the object for the right balance what colours to use to make it pop out etc. Any recommendations(on both what I just said and basic stuff)?
I never used any books for colour composition, I'm sure there are some.
I think the best thing to do is keep practising and experimenting.
