I agree, I just bought it and it was a huge disappointment. :/
I also got the new Gojira and The Wretched End which were great, so that made up for it.

Positively surprised. It was almost enjoyable, at-least ironically.
I kind of like some of those Slam-Piggy bands, that don't take themselves too seriously. They just make silly faces and 2minute breakdowns.
For example, the stuff Big C used to do, which is silly faces and 2note breakdowns, is quite awesome imho.

Another example could be Lord Gore (I'm well aware of the fact that LG is not "slam", but neither is "the partisan turbine").

TBH, almost every gore/pornogrind band (most expect exhumed, cattle decapitation and early carcass) fits the same category with slam/tasteful deathcore in my mindset. Senseless blasting, serious business.
Self-irony. In kind of same way as "horror" films by Peter Jackson. Almost like sick parody, but not obvious parody. Its a good joke that stops being joke the moment you admit its joke, if you know what I mean.

The vocals are what made Morbid Saint one of my alltime fav bands
