I like all their albums.
so hey here's something that's been bugging me
i'm trying to find metal songs that actually aren't at all cheesy (i realize this is kinda hard to determine, since not just metal but most popular music in general is cheesy anyway!), just as something fun and like "is it really possible??" it's HARD dude! the first place i thought would be decent to look in was like crossover thrash or something but i'm not having much luck. you guys got any? :V
i thought 'fun' music was cheesy

i love the classic heavy metal thing they got going on
whoops here i go on another nwobh binge
Wow Witchcraft has changed a lot...They used to be more Doom/Psychedelic Rock than anything else. I am glad Magnus didn't change his vocal style (Haven't listen to the whole album yet but liking this song so far)

I'm not exactly sure what you define something is not cheesy but fun...Any examples on what you are looking for?
sorry i think you guys ended up reading me as asking for non-cheesy but fun metal. i meant i was trying to see if i could find just a non-cheesy metal song (whether it's fun i'm not concerned with), and i'm doing the search just for fun.
man i don't know, that's the thing, it's hard to come up with a criteria for this, haha. something with lyrics actually about relatable, real life things without being played out and loaded and full of flowery language, i guess vocals that are neither gutturals nor screeches nor crazy operatic, and i guess just generally metal that isn't loaded with anything overdramatic, lyrically or sonically, unless someone finds a really good one that's well-done and serious enough to really warrant the drama (now that part is really hard to be the judge of...)
i listen to more hardcore than i do metal so my mind keeps going to like no comment or eyehategod or something that's kind of bleak and bare-bones and stays realistic and doesn't try to blow itself up at all but... my metal knowledge is not very vast so i don't know where to go for metal with that kind of attitude (besides maybe early 90s sludge but then you get silly gutturals or whatever)

This is as real and fun as it gets.

And I don't think your criteria is realistic.

Thought I was listening to Emmure for a minute there.
I'm seeing Morbid Saint, Coffin Dust, Sacrificial Blood, and I think some other band who's name I can't remember right now on Saturday. Should be good.
Then in January Decibel Magazine 100th Issue show w/Municipal Waste, Pig Destroyer, Tombs, Evoken and an as of now unknown headliner.
Then after that, in May, rolling down to Maryland Death Fest. Day 2 closers are Sleep and Weedeater, it's going to be a very, very intense day.
Next few months are going to be pretty fucking metal.
i would've loved to go to the sonar compound on saturday but i gotta be over at soundstage that day to see infest. hope doom metal day at MDF kicks ass for anyone who goes! (it will)
(btw if tix aren't sold out yet, anyone who can should seriously go to saturday or sunday at soundstage. it's hardcore and not metal, sure, but infest is going to be SO INTENSE you don't even know. they are thrash as fuck i swear)
might be seeing anaal nathrakh in leeds on Dec 9th (i think) tickets are only £7 plus £16-18 for train tickets there and back
not bad

That album is absolute shite. I refuse to listen to some Nuclear Blast's last hour fabrication under a name called Witchcraft. Witchcraft are dead.
The promo video of that album was just a ridiculous attempt of selling merchandise at the cost of some deeply standardized music typical of Nuclear Blast.
TL;DR: Witchcraft is shite.

They only got back together in the past few years if I remember correctly, they're recording a couple new songs for the Spectrum of Death reissue, and we got to be the first to hear one of them!

spectrum of death is the sickest shit ever and if you disagree get the fuck out

So Death Before Dawn, Thrashaholic, Dying Day and Life's Blood are not for the Spectrum of Death reissue?
So Death Before Dawn, Thrashaholic, Dying Day and Life's Blood are not for the Spectrum of Death reissue?
Not sure off the top of my head. There's apparently 4 new songs that are going to be on the reissue, and I'm not sure what the one they played was called. I'll see if it goes up on Youtube.
so if you all havent heard, Avenged Sevenfold "Carry On" completely ripped of Helloween "Eagle Fly Free" for their new black ops 2 song
then i told my roommates friend whos here right now about this. his response was "who cares its just some old band no ones heard of, avenged sevenfold is way better anyway" jesus fucking christ
he's right tho
