They're often lumped in with metal bands, and they're on Nuclear Blast Records which is one of the bigger metal labels, but they're more rock than metal I'd say.

Just got home from seeing Dethklok. Amazing show, except that Machine Head wasn't there and Dahlia's set was very short. They also had the crew dressed up as Klokateers
