Srs post here, 100%- Sergeant D might come off to the average person who stumbles upon him as kinda dumb and just some stupid guy who loves posting ironic and silly shit and making fun of bad music but honestly he's one of the smartest people on the internet, and seriously a pretty inspirational guy. He gives fucking great advice having lived a pretty tough life and has loads of life experience which he happily dishes out to people in need of it. I've seen plenty people messaging him on his tumblr saying how he legitimately helped turn their life around. While I was never totally far gone or any shit I'd say he's had a bit of influence on me as well, he's a fucking great guy and if I ever got the chance to meet him and thank him for being him I would. Legit one of the best people ever [editline]26th December 2012[/editline] Following his whimsical and seemingly a bit silly advice will genuinely put you on the right path to being a successful person tbh, not in some kind of proper job or education or any shit but great life advice for just being a better person and getting through shit, since he's gone through shit and has learnt the hard way- follow the path of the D (using this forever now) and learn from him so you don't learn the hard way either

sarge is legitimately a remarkable guy, i sincerely believe that. he has been through so much real shit and knows what the hell is up with life and the world and everything and the majority of all kids on the internet could learn a whole lot about how to live better lives just by taking a few cues from him. mikey's right; right pass the "funny snarky asshole" schtick he is a really good guy who can give one hell of a helping hand to just about anyone who seeks it from him. most kids in the metal/hardcore communities (hell, music fans in general!) would seriously do way better to listen to this guy and just lighten the hell up; there are more things in life to get worried about

the point isn't what he might say on the side or how. the big picture is that he's heavily grounded in the real world, much more than a lot of us are because reality has given him a mean ol' punch in the face a handful of times, and beyond just how to act on the internet there's a thing or two to be learned from him and what he'll share with anyone who asks. but arguing about internet-famous people is pretty silly too. here's a meal. i saw tony iommi mentioned a post or two above... joazzz! what'd you think of the man's solo album?
