Some Black Metal that I can listen to without being bored to death. Structurally it's dynamic. The production is also more polished and the mixes are good, pretty atypical of BM.

that wildernessking track sounds pretty inspired by US ABM so obviously i'm hearing superficial BM tropes (the odd blastbeat and the buzzy guitars and shrieks) but layered over what basically amounts to a recognisable rock-ish structure.

I don't see how you could call it black metal at all though. You [i]could[/i] probably get away with saying it has elements of black metal in it I guess but that's about as far as i'd go with that.
i say just deal with it lol, it's a hell of a lot more humble than the ostentatious "progressive black metal" that quite a few people are calling it.

isnt progressive black metal almost redundant since most black metal bands are really different anyway, well excluding the totally unknown bands that just copy tr00 bands but most bands have a distinct sound that's their own
