I can't really take FNAF seriously. Its mechanics are new, but the core game just makes me yawn.
Dude you've done it again.
I loved this video so fucking much that I made my gf come and sit with me and watch it twice.

aw dude no way :o that's fucking sick, thanks so much for sharing it!
I've praised your videos a couple of times before but this one was even better again. Just fantastic points all around, and well connected sentences.
I really hope you catch more viewers shortly, but I'd bet that's where you're heading.
it's so worth it. p.t. is fucking insane. you should probably play it without really knowing much about it though.
I won't till we here more about Silent Hill's if it is canned you will want more and never get it:/.
Great videos, it's refreshing how positive they are.
I agree with you on jumpscares, I've always appreciated how a well designed one can instill a sense of dread. I remember Eternal Darkness used a couple of rare but brutal ones to great effect. To me, the best ones are when the image is so unsettling that it doesn't need to rely on a loud music sting.

Yeah same here. Not trying to be edgy but I didn't find either atmosphere nor animatronics scary or unsettling. P.T. on the other hand, yeah that's a good one.
do earthbound plz tia
Thanks to your crash video youtube is now constantly recommending me soundtracks from each game. Not a bad problem to have.
Haha thanks for all the positive feedback. I'm really happy to see that all the work has paid off and seems to be improving with each video.
Ah fuck you, even videos of the jumpscares made me legit scared
especially the last line ("closer, closer.. CLOSER") made me jump
yeah this was easily your best one yet, and it sounds better too, did you do something with your audio setup this time?

New mic/pop filter
It's a massive shame Kojima practically got booted off the team for Silent Hills

my mic stayed the same, but i do have a new pop filter and i tried reducing the hiss as much as possible by strategically putting blankets on things just recently though, i finally got my audio interface, which means my final step is an XL mic, hopefully by summer.

record your reaction lmao
da scares are da best
I subscribed! (mostly because i forgot to after watching the animal crossing video) I have a bit of an anxiety problem as well and for some reasons video games just turn me into a 6 year old at the circus, I actually turned the sound off and looked away during some of the parts i knew would have jump scares.
For some reason I'm fine with movies and rarely get scared, but anything that's interactive terrifies me, So i guess if you wanted the video to have an air of spookyness you succeeded :v:
you should really check out Eternal Darkness for the Gamecube for some clever fourth-wall breaking scare tactics like fake bluescreens and save screens that prompt you to delete all your saved games

the story, characters, acting is pretty good shit too. it's not 100% focused on horror of course, so it's not going to be the scariest game ever, but I love stuff like this when the game/movie is fucking with the viewer/player.
I really like your videos. Keep them coming!
watched all your videos really enjoyed them, looking forward to what you do next.
Just got the animal crossing soundtrack, RAINY DAY ALL DAY EVERY DAY
I had so much nostalgia when you played it. All it's missing is umbrella spin sounds.
Good voice, good enthusiasm, but make sure you're considering your target audience. I'm seven minutes in and so far it's just been telling me things about the games that I already knew, like explaining the game mechanics, who made the games or what PT stands for, etc. I think a lot of that information could be given a lot more quickly and efficiently and with a lot less "but you guys will never fucking believe this next factoid!!" emphasis, when I would guess most viewers already know. So at the very least try to cover the basics a bit more briefly.
Otherwise, keep it up, achieve the dream, etc.

Well my general philosophy when making the videos is basically that if it's common knowledge or obvious to the player, then I'll make it brief. I can't just go in assuming everyone knows everything though, that just seems like bad etiquette imo. And once again, if I sound a little too excited for a factoid or something, it's because I am and usually I feel like certain aspects or features in a game get overlooked. Like Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro developing PT blew my fucking mind to pieces when I heard about it, because they're basically top dudes in their field coming together to single handedly save the Silent Hill franchise.
I understand your perspective, but there are people in this thread who never played PT or Five Nights and right there are people that already know less about these games than you, just by experience. So while I apologize for telling you something you already know, there is a large chunk of analysis on the other side of that as well. Regardless, thanks for the feedback dude!

I had an Eternal Darkness clip in the video if you look closely!
Woah, I was intending to just watch a minute or two of this vid and get changed but shit I got so entrapped by the way you formed the video I just had to watch the whole thing. You've seriously done an amazing done combining criticism and your own form of video making with these videos man. Keep em coming! I'd love to see a demons souls - dark souls 2 video from you one day, or just one on how that style of gameplay is so interesting.
PT actually left me sweating.
I haven't felt actual terror in a game before. I have now.
I'd never heard of either game so I appreciated the basics and your dissection of how the devs utililized certain things.
