I just looked at all his art, literally the only thing he does to it is add film grain.

The rest is just his pure talent; I personally would much rather him not add so much grain as it jeopardizes the image quality.

But that's also another possibility, maybe he's adding film grain and then saving the jpegs at a lower-than-recommended value to get that look.

But either way, all he's doing is adding grain, it's not that complex, really.

I just wanted to vouch and say that it is actually pretty easy. I had to do a lot of photo editing for a couple classes and if you know what you're doing the noise option in photoshop can be very helpful. Not only that I think the artist must re-size their pictures too, to emphasize the noise effect. I'd show an example but unfortunately I don't have photoshop on my laptop.
