I find it hilarious there's so much controversy over a fetus.
This baby could go on to do great things
then again being told one day "Son, We almost killed you but we weren't sure so we asked random people on the internet"
error establishing connection or something
Wow, imagine how fucked up the kid is going to be if she decides to keep him.
'Mommy, how did I get here?'
'Well sweetie, the Internet decided you were good enough to come into this world.'
the parents should have been aborted
All of you are overeacting about this. This whole thing has been designed as a clever ploy in some way to bring money in to the family and also much needed attention about the value of a life and abortion. Please understand that the parents that are doing this are not sick people. They have the right to decide on how they present their pregenacy to the world, if this unborn baby's life hangs in the balance over some votes then they will have to live with that decision.
This is a really instreting case and I could see some writing a pcycology paper on this after this whole thing as gone through. Try not to overreact to this website.

the thing I have an issue with is they way they're portraying people who get abortions. They're trivializing it in the most disgusting way possible. People don't just go around like "hey, should I get an abortion?" It's a damn serious issue with serious implications and causes, and these two are obviously exploiting their situation as a way to prove a point.

What is 'pcycology'? It must be a brand new field of study because I've never heard of it before.
The issue here is not really about abortion, but about these 'parents' are indecisive and would actually let a huge decision such as this, be made by complete and total strangers.
If you're not willing to make these tough decisions yourself, then you have no business procreating.
Also you're right that they're undoubtedly making money off of this, which is absolutely disgusting. How can you possibly think of getting financial gain over the pending life of your unborn child? And no, this is not 'bringing needed attention' to anything. It's just making pro-choice people look like idiots.

Well I think that you have the right to cast it to a vote if you want to make a bussiness out of it or if you really can't decide. A decision is a descsion whether is maybe a small one or a big one and what makes this different then asking some people whether you should go out with this girl or not. It's a perfect rational decision to put this unborn fetus's life to a vote.
Also there is a side affect of getting people to discuss about what is right or worng about abortion. This challanges the limits of how abortion can be done and how the decision process is worked through. Tell me what is acutally wrong with that?

fucking cunts
voted for birth
I still feel sorry for the kid though
[editline]19th November 2010[/editline]
when it's born we need to track everything this kid does on the internet and reveal what his parents were going to do with him
Look I don't think you need to worry about when this child it's born. The parents seem to be mentally stable and if something should happen the authorties will come down of them.
the parents are dumb fucks that's the main problem
if they need the internet's help with such a simple decision they don't deserve to be parents

You're comparing apples to oranges. The life of a child and 'whether you should go out with this girl or not' are two completely different things. The former has far greater ramifications than a petty date with a girl could be. I'm not saying people shouldn't be allowed to cast their opinions, but the creation of a child is between a man and a woman, therefore the decision to abort the child or not should also be exclusive.
Also, learn the difference between affect and effect.

This guy gets it.
It's not often that a thread pops up where you can have a say in the potential life of another human being :geno:
it's 80% for, someone call 4chan and let's get it the other way.
No I disagree with you because I feel that a decision is a very important thing but the couple has the right and should be encourage to put certain decision to a vote. Also if this pays off them then they made a good amount of money out of this through adverts and they get the sastifaction of sharing their most deepest ideas with the public. I support this.

If you're that worried about seeking the approval of others and have no self-confidence to make your own decisions, then I hope for the world's sake that you never have children.
Terrible parents, you can't be dumber than having the life of your future child being voted in an internet poll.
I'd say abort so that the child doesn't have to be born to such fucking imbecile parents.
You jerks agree with the moderator but rate me dumb when I say the same exact thing? *No offence moderator*

Blame the people who started this flamewar.
I voted keep, even though I think his parents are some of the thickest people I have seen yet.
Everything deserves a chance in life, even though he will be pissed if he sees that site.
My opinion.

Its image uploading software also, the error blocks it though.
Fuck internet votes. Use this method instead.

That's so dumb.....they should decide themselves. But personally, I would say go for it because the world is overpopulated, and one less birth does help with that. I mean even if like 99% of couples that want to have a child wait like even one year, the population would decrease at least a little.
What the fuck is this. I can't believe this is actually happening. If that child gets aborted, I'm going to lose all faith in humanity. Awful people. Spamming live votes.
Some people...

Computer checks if one person voted more than once.
