Getting all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled - anything I should know? - General

My mom got hers pulled out and didn't ever feel much afterwards. Just expect a ton of pain like she did, and you should be fine. You never get what you expect. Also, You are unlucky. I only have three wisdom teeth (one just isn't there) and only one is growing roots, so the other two won't even grow.

I'm getting mine removed soon. Everyone always talks about how they can't remember a thing during the operation because of the drugs and that they are very disoriented afterwards. I'm gonna see how well I can fair against the effects of the drugs. It'll be a neat experience.

before i got braces i had an x-ray of my head/skull and found out that i dont have wisdom teeth and never will!!! :) NB:as a child you still have wisdom teeth but they are below your gums. (in later life they grow through)

Wisdom teeth are no big deal really. Just take your pain pills and eat soup for a few days.

When I had mine pulled, one side my face got hardcore swelling in comparison to the other. I looked like half a chipmunk. I also ate tons of jell-o.

Just got mine pulled out today, not to bad just a bit 'high' from the drugs pain hasn't been a big issue yet.

The operation is generally pretty smooth. I got one, only they messed it up. They shattered it in my gum, and had to pull it open and pull the tooth shards out. Made it A LOT more painful. My mouth swelled to at least 3 times its size, ahha! Nothing will go wrong, don't worry. Good luck!

I've had one out, but I'm going to have to get the other 3 out eventually. For me, they put me on laughing gas and anesthesia, then broke it in pieces in my mouth and pulled out the pieces. Then they jammed a ton of cotton on it and gave me a bottle of codeine. It's really not that bad.

Well im turning 19 later this year and I will probably get my wisdom teeth out within 3 months because they are starting to hurt a bit, but the reason is my mouth dont have room for wisdom teeth as the dentists stated.Main reason for wisdom teeth removal. The good news is ive only got 3 of them, And my plan is just to try to be calm and have no anxiety.Because worrying is the worst thing you can do.When you think about it its not really that big of a deal or worth stupidly worrying about.Because it will be fine and you'll be alright, it is for the better. I dont plan to be punched out either, just those stun shots to the gums because obviously those are needed unless you were chuck norris.Oh and thanks facepunch for the laughs on the first 2 or 3 pages, was really funny stuff.

Your jaw is actually weakened for a few weeks after the pull, be careful not to bite down on any concrete blocks during this time, as your jaw may strain and snap.

*2 weeks bump, I know. But I just got my wisdom teeth pulled out today* The experience is okay, once you wake up from your artificial sleep, you won't feel anything. But the problem is that you'll feel pain in your jaw whenever you move it. Plus, the doctor put some numb thing in my bottom lip so I won't feel pain. Also, there are a lot of blood coming out of my mouth, which sucks whenever I go to sleep and I find one of my pillows have a big blood stain on it. So whenever I spit out the blood from my mouth, I also feel a slight pain from my jaw too. Sucks.
