Okay, I guess being able to play as Zombies will be cool, and the maps look neat and the spillway could make for interesting gameplay. The skateboard map looks interesting, I guess, and I'm glad there's a snow map, and I really like deserts. Overall: I might get it, but the $15 really turns me away.
Those sand textures are fucking hideous playing as zombies seem cool though
Wow holy shit guys did you hear them?? Here's the important shit: For the first time, EVER, in black ops II, theres....... SNOW!!!!!!!!! Snow environment in BLOPSII!!!!!!!! $15
1:42 Extreme no scope gondol takeout But in all seriousness, that looks amazingly silly. It seems like they put in a bit more, but it's really not a lot considering you're paying $15. This is really what I have against COD - whether it's a good game or not, it's a cashcow to an extreme extent. They broke sales records, and still they charge $15 for a glorified map pack. Don't the players deserve better?
I hate DLC weapons in a competitive FPS. [editline]8th January 2013[/editline]
Don't the players deserve better?
The players deserve everything they get. The $15 map packs sell insanely well. They have no reason not to sell them for that much. It's like after MW3 had the completely ridiculous $50 season pass EA decided they could get away with it and oh look 3 million Premium licenses sold. People for some reason just really like paying exorbitant prices for content that should be half the price at the very least.

It's not like it's really taking that much effort - after all, you already have most of the elements made.
gamemode/weapon dlc what the fuck man i was actually looking forward to this shit
"we put a weapon in our DLC, so excited!" yeah no fuck off even though I never bought your game, the dimwits that buy into this shit are helping destroy any sort of developer thinking people want different
I never want weapons in a DLC after Back to Karkand's FAMAS. The horror...the horror...
welp, the only reason I'd buy this is for Die Rise and Turned gonna look at Die Rise after it comes out to see if it's any good but yeah also wtf man $15 for that granted it's more in that dlc than any other cod dlc but still
"Oh no, a slow moving gondola!" *bump* "AAAAAAAAAGGKKK." Also, I notice in the hydro plant map getting hit by the water just causes you to fall over. I mean, how hard would it be to have the surge actually blow you off your feet and out the map. That would suggest they're actually making some kind of effort.
Those are really cool maps with some nice ideas (especially the skatepark from a design pov) But the fact that this is again a 5 maps (+ weapon and gamemode) for 15 bucks pack makes me vomit blood.
Looks alright. Defiantly not worth the 15 dollar price tag though.
They should have added skateboards to the skatepark map.
Surprised all of these maps are post-production and not already on the disc
"What do we do now? We've already gave them everything we can think of...Twice even...Oh I know throw in a skatepark!"
HOLY SHIT ONE NEW GUN I NEED TO GET THIS GAEM NOW
while it's good that they're putting out more content for DLC than previous CoD's, the game is honestly hurt by weak spawns for FFA and TDM based modes, and a create a class system that feels not as great as previous installments. Also DLC weapons, that should end well.
a create a class system that feels not as great as previous installments.
But the Blops 2 create a class is awesome.
But the Blops 2 create a class is awesome.
I mean- the pick 10 system really is good, how you can do things like make a legitimate knife class or whatever, but where it's weak is things like having to "level up" guns again, or making some weapons completely unavailable until really late levels.
Every now and then, I'd instead hear, "this is the very first time we've added in actual content in our DLC."
As someone who loves level design, I'm actually curious as to if the curved walls help in preventing corner camping.
As someone who loves level design, I'm actually curious as to if the curved walls help in preventing corner camping.
I wonder how effective rolling grenades around corners would work. If it works well, I'm definitely gonna make a class with the MMS and kill people around corners all day. Instead of that DLC weapon, I'd like to get that wrist-fired grenade, that thing was cool.
I think the new zombies gamemode is a kewl idea but the weapon thing is.... meh
I can maybe understand maps, but it's extremely greedy to release a brand new game mode and make you pay for it.
The skatepark map definitely looks interesting. The rest... meh.
"First time ever, DLC guns!" That's not something to be proud of, blops2.
they're getting better
