Black History Month + BET contradict Racial Equalization - General

People say: "Asian, Black, White, Hispanic and Brown People should not have their intellect, character or background prejudged based on their race...AKA race should not be recognized, only people" But at the same time we have black history month and this McDonalds-365black-thing which is recognizing a particular race. Does anyone agree that the channel title "Black Entertainment Television" implies "this is content that entertains black people, as opposed to non-blacks, and that Black's should mimic to some level the content on such channel"? Please post thoughts.

It's a celebration of culture, not a races accomplishments. BET is a private organization, it can do what it wants. Go ahead and make a WET station if you want, but it's not institutionalized racism.

My problem is that You can be proud to be Black, and have a month to celebrate. You can be proud to be Hispanic, and have a month to celebrate. But if you are proud to be white and try to celebrate you're a fucking asshole racist who hates all races and are a bigot piece of shit suddenly. All Black schools: okay. all Hispanic schools: okay. Call a school a whites only school: RACIST. Its shit like affirmative action. They dont want races to be EQUAL. They want their race to have more opportunities, and rise above the others, because they think they deserve it.

I love how BHM only follows blacks in first-world countries. Where's the genius and ingenuity of Shaka or the Maori? Where's all the brave heroes during the time of Apartheid?!

Why do we need organisations like the NAACP? I mean Americans have a brown man as president, everybody can vote and has the same wages and stuff. Yeah there's still racist people hanging around but nations officially recognize racial equality and enforce it as well as possible. I find it ridiculous how there exists things created specially for a single race. Such organisations that exist after having achieved racial equality are now for all intents and purposes pushing for the advancement of their own race above others. Technically I'm a minority(I have not a single drop of Scottish blood in me, despite living here), being that I am descended from slavs but I don't go around creating movements such as National Association for the Advancement of Slavs or celebrating Slavic history month.

Not to say that only whitey can save the blacks, but that its akin to attempting to push through clinical depression with no support. If we don't talk about the fact that the median wage for black females is five dollars then we won't solve that problem- black poverty will continue, and people will continue to stereotype blacks as lazy and criminal.
