there are? i've never come across a girl who obsesses over their guy's body/pubic hair. i mean there can be a preference for slightly less body hair, and for keeping pubes nice and tidy, but as for obsessing over having it all gone? i've never met a girl like that, i don't think most care too much.

Pretty much.
One of my exes used to go clean shaven, I thought it looked quite strange to be honest. Even so he didn't keep it in line, he'd just shave every so often so it was just unpleasant and felt horrible against me. But it can't just be left, it's horrible going down on a guy when he's got hair all over the place.

Top tip: When trimming, leave 1-2 inches. Wearing clothes is agony if you go shorter. Hopefully it'll grow back soon.
IMO 2-3mm is more than enough to not to feel comfortable.
Also, after shaving, I suggest washing shaved regions with COLD water, really cold water. This will close your pores and prevent red spots from occurring. No matter where you shave actually.

A question to the guys who shave completely though: do you also shave your belly, then? It'd seem odd to suddenly have like a shaven patch. what about your legs? and if you shave your lower belly as well, do you also do the same with your chest?

when it goes towards my legs, I haphazardly curl it and use a razor; a trick my hairdresser taught me when cutting my fringe. it gets rid of any pattern, such as completely straight or diagonal. it looks far more natural for a fringe AND your pubes. I demolish a fair bit of the top part and towards the shaft I shave it and let it grow back a bit for a natural look. towards the top where it joins my stomach and turns into chest hair, i do the fringe trick too; thins it out, doesn't look unnaturally straight or cut off.
