army basic is easy shit you are allowed to use your cellphone for personal calls every weekend so if you have internet on your phone you can get on facebook and shit like nothing
Hang in there man the first few weeks are going to suck balls, I think that's universal to every army recruit. I joined for tax free drink and money, I got much more out of it (If your a nice guy, you will make lots of friends). And being in a neutral country I Don't get blown up, I am sure you will be posted some where nice when you pass recruit training.
I got a 29 on my ACT and I graduated with honors. Marine rejects go home, dumbass. Air Force and Navy are on a whole different playing field man. It just depends on what type of job you want and what kind of incentives you want along with it.
Please explain yourself and use some evidence to back up what you say, dude.
well you made a bad decision lol
with those scores you coulda joined the airforce.
Grats dude. Do my country good for the fucktards who can't do it themselves.
Grueling physical punishment? I think you're thinking of the Marines.
Either way, good luck out there.
Good luck! I hope to be in your position after school.

Enjot killing other people just so some old men in Washington can sit in their comfy offices!
Risking your life for a stupid reason isn't honorable or respectable. It's rash and poorly thought out.
jesus your dumb as fuck
You are a good person
good luck dude
Good luck. :)
mainly it's about job and retirement security. I want something to give me a head start to accomplish the goals i've laid for myself. One such goal is to retire early and another is to maybe become a police officer. I also get any college courses i take while serving paid for and the g.i. Bill covers my college education after i'm out of the service.
:911:
OP is the person who relays the map to the ground soldiers guys, the one that's on the left side of their eyes. Good luck OP and watch out for those satellite jammers.
Christ, TPMASTER. Why be so dramatic about it, it's just a deployment. You'll probably be stuck at some dusty supply base REMFing it for most of the time anyway. It's not like you're going on the first manned mission to mars or something.
First of all, you're not serving your country. War serves your country by creating good business to sustain the economy, that's all.
Secondly, lose the whole 'heroic martyr' attitude. Soldiering really isn't that badass. If you're truly going to be a good soldier you need to be more mature.
Have fun. Kill some scum if you get the chance.
As for "serving your country". Forget that shit, that kind of delusion will get you nowhere.
I won't give you respect for joining an organization that is intended to kill people. In my eyes you are scum.
Because everyone in the world can just drop their guns and call everything happy goodness right?
OP, more than likely you'll end up as a pogue serving refried chicken at the green bean. The only action you'll be seeing is moving crates from a supply truck into the kitchen. Oh, that and the couple of mortar shells you see every month.
Good luck out there buddy, you're gonna need it.
Hope you don't die.
Wait, he's not even a line grunt? Not even fighting infantry? IMAGING ANALYST? Jesus christ, he's a fucking drama queen.
Wait, he's not even a line grunt? Not even fighting infantry? IMAGING ANALYST? Jesus christ, he's a fucking drama queen.
Good job making yourself look like an asshat.
Wait, he's not even a line grunt? Not even fighting infantry? IMAGING ANALYST? Jesus christ, he's a fucking drama queen.
An imaging analyst? What's he talking about drill sergeants for then?
...gl?
Have fun.
Because he's risking his life? Tell me you have the balls to go out and do that when you're just sat behind a computer screen looking down upon him. People with no respect for members of armed forces don't deserve any respect in return.
If choosing to put your life on the line when there's the option of an easy civilian job instead isn't admirable, I don't know what the fuck is.
He's not doing anything dangerous you overexcited moron. He's 35G, and, therefore, a pogue. His job involves sitting in a nice comfy chair in an air-conditioned building all day looking at pictures and video taken by UAVs, while people like my brother go out as 11B and get shot at and make sure Afghan citizens are actually safe and secure by putting their lives on the line. OP is hardly some admirable hero. His life isn't on the line in the slightest, as is the case with 99% of fobbits.
An imaging analyst? What's he talking about drill sergeants for then?
Drill sergeants are the guys who train ALL soldiers, no matter their MOS. But he's going to BCT for every MOS other than 11B (baby shit), whereas OSUT (for 11B) is an actually grueling "fuck you"-style of training program that whips soldiers into the best shape they'll ever be in.
it's where all the marine rejects and people that aren't smart enough for the air force and navy go.
lol jesus christ you're retarded. The entry PFT is WAY more lenient for the Marines than it is for the Army, you thick-skulled nitwit. And believe me when I say that the Army has just as many, if not more tech jobs than the Air Force. It's just that the Army has infantry and some real SOFs to boot, whereas the Air Force only has those little SOFs that don't really do much except act as attachments to Army/Marine infantry groups. Really, though, the Air Force has its fair share of shitty jobs for retarded people, even more than the Army depending on your definition of a shitty job. The Navy is just straight-up useless right now, though, all they do is act as support for Marines on occasion.
it's where all the marine rejects and people that aren't smart enough for the air force and navy go.
Oh boy, Marine rejects? Hardly, Rangers are man enough to the Marines, more so. Air Force, In Iraq/Afghanistan, if your on Combat Duty are not going to get shot down in a Jet. Perhaps a helicopter though, Navy, No combat except for the carriers. Shut your mouth and research a bit more, thanks. Also good boy :patriot: Hope to see you around!
