• SCP Foundation - None of the signs lead where they should. None of the walls point where they should

The source for the picture that was used for it is pretty awesome too. http://beautifuldecay.com/2015/05/04/philip-ob-rey-builds-apocalyptic-giants-vhs-tape-desolate-landscapes/
I thought it was the Hanged King at first.
this is basically what i imagine an SCP show would look like
Are there any SCPs that really exemplify the 'Protect' part? As in, not protection for us, but protection for it. Also I just realised that people on the website call SCPs Skips, I mean really.
www.scp-wiki.net/scp-2662
2662 looks really great, but it definitely needs a more professional name. 'The Reluctant Lord' or something like that.

Almost every TZ episode can be made into an SCP too
http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-2521 This is such a well-executed concept. I'm loving this contest so far.
And to think people say that standards are slipping.
www.scp-wiki.net/scp-2662
Seems like a future destructive cult leader god type, but right now he's just too young and uninterested.

SCP-2134 comes off as rather conversational and easy going for a bloodthirsty killing machine. Maybe the whole blood obsessed monster thing is just a ruse in order to keep getting that sweet, sweet blood from the Foundation.
So I had an idea for an SCP: basically some extraterrestrial/dimensional alien sends their young child Sto Earth Superman style n a life capsule, but they don't survive for whatever reason, so you have the Foundation viewing this alien culture through the lens of their analouge to a preschooler's toys, books, or animations that were on board. Then at the end maybe you can twist the knife with a partially deciphered message from the parent hoping someone will find their child, and describing their favorite books or toys, etc. Or not, I think the first half could stand on it's own, but tragic irony is always fun.

You should try drafting that up.

The hard part would be making cultural aspects sound alien while avoid all those "They have three genders!" cliches.

Like they overreact constantly and think the apocalypse is happening even when it isn't so they send their kids off all the time, which explains why they keep showing up.

"OUR RACE IS DOOMED PLEASE CARE FOR OUR LAST SON" 2 months later "FALSE ALARM CAN WE COME PICK HIM UP"
I had an idea for an SCP recently, don't normally share them but I thought this was kind of interesting: An image (in this case imagine an abstract painting of an animal fetus, something Giygas esc) that when viewed would cause certain people to constantly visualize the image in their mind and ruminate about it. As time progresses and the person obsesses over it more and more this 'thing' would actually manifest in the persons brain through some means of uh... protein stands and anomaly magic. It'd be small initially, but as time progresses the anomaly would slowly begin growing until it eventually becomes big enough to burst out of its host. I couldn't really think of an interesting hook, outside of something that used the actual image as a cheesy shock scare like that Chess Machine did. Maybe have an addendum at the very end where the researchers aren't entirely sure if pictures of the painting can infect viewers, so you're sort of left with this unsettled feeling that the example image at the start might have been 'infectious'.
That would be hilarious. "OUR RACE IS DOOMED PLEASE CARE FOR OUR LAST SON" 2 months later "FALSE ALARM CAN WE COME PICK HIM UP"
"WE TRAVEL BY USING BLACK HOLES IS THIS OKAY? OOPS TOO LATE"
I thought of an SCP a while ago, I'm not sure if it's been done before. Effectively, it's a gate that if something passes through it it's lost forever. No one knows if the object or person is destroyed, transported, or whatever. They're just gone. No attempts to discover what's beyond the gate have ever been successful. Now the kicker is that if someone becomes curious about what's beyond the gate, whatever decisions they make from then on will eventually and inevitably lead them to pass through it. The only clue is that if a person thinks about the gate before, during, or after that decision, it will be one that forces them further along that path. Being aware of this and trying to change your decision doesn't work, as whatever you change it to will be what forces you closer. As a curious person gets very close to the gate, the events that guide them become more and more uncanny and improbable, so no matter if they try to get away they will find themselves forced closer. Any and all security measures are inevitably subverted (often violently), and in at least one case a "fool-proof" measure was subverted by a conveniently-timed earthquake, so to avoid future incidents caused by subversion access to the gate is almost completely unrestricted. What do you guys think?

The only way they'd know is if they had suffered significant losses to it already and decided to try interviewing people who were gate-bound.
I created this SCP from the last thread. Unfinished and unnamed, but people in the thread seemed to like it. http://scpsandbox2.wikidot.com/elysion01
Another less developed idea I had recently. Something to the effect of dig site where deeply buried fossils slowly act out the motions they would have made in life. Not supposed to be "spooky skeletons" so much as it is something that lacks that "messing with humans" element most SCPs have, and has just been being weird all to itself deep within the Earth for who knows how long.
I do quite like that. It's not threatening, just odd and remote.
So took me hours to write this, spending forever adding, moving, and removing propositions and other bits of grammar that didn't look right and figuring out containment protocol that sounded detailed and plausible, but I feel like I've made some progressing, and finish most of the stuff that isn't the main hooks involving deciphering the alien children's book and/or show, and possible sad message from parent. I read the first 1000. During my senior yer of high school, i blame that for me getting ds. i also remembet playing world of tanks with whovever was dr kondraki, though i dont remember who that was. And i played ion the scp minecraft server a bot, my friend bagel and i went on an epic adventure to a blsck thing, i got in fected, shot by an ajecnt in a holding cell, and my next life i was a janitor. 10/10 rp would die again forthe well being of the world.

I have no clue. There was a big black tentacley tower thing out in the ocean.

Loriborn ran it, as far as I remember [editline]1st August 2015[/editline]
I have no clue. Oh man, I remember when I was making the texture pack for that. Great times. Server died a lot, though. Started off somewhat active then just declined. I'd like the maps.
I would too, but last I asked they're kind of... floating in the void or something. Might have to PM Lori or Cheese for the files. (Also that texture pack was pretty fucking neat)
I'd kill for the texture pack to be updated to work in modern MC
