SCP Foundation - None of the signs lead where they should. None of the walls point where they should

I just found SCP-1171, through wikipedia, of all things
An alien monster dude that hates humans but not in an edgy "destroyer of all that is human" way but instead is a casual racist, genius.
[editline]Fake merge woo[/editline]
When did they add the Thaumiel class? Sounds new
I'm pretty sure Thaumiel is a special class that isn't used in common works, like some other special classes for specific canons and stuff like that.
Thaumiel is for SCPs that the foundation uses.
EDIT: it's as normal as safe or euclid or keter, but the foundation rarely employs anomalies.
Well here's a thread i haven't seen in forever.
I'll always cherish duke 'till dawn for endlessly entertaining me.(even though it's not classified as canon or whatever.)
it went wacky and out of control and still kept the SCP feel.
are there more of the same?
I haven't kept up to date with new SCP's and the like, so a freshener would be welcome.

I originally used it in my 001 proposal, although it had existed way back in the beginning of the site, objects that were used to contain other objects. None of those survived, although the name was used for the "project thaumiel" series of tales.
It was popularized by FortuneFavorsBold using it in his winning SCP-2000 contest entry, Deus Ex Machina. From there, it's been used in several mainlist SCPs, including one collaboration between FFB and myself, SCP-2799. It has also been used in multiple SCP-001 proposals since mine.
I thought everyone got bored of SCP. It's cool to see it back. Anyone plays SCP Containment Breach sometimes?
A little late to the party but SCP-2030 hits a nerve with me. It sort of straddles the line on ridiculousness but all the little details like the use of images, the fractured almost readable english, and episode descriptions all tie it together pretty nicely. If it weren't for the really cryptic "Laugh and let us in" line at the end it might almost seem like the entity isn't inherently malicious, but rather the result of something completely inhuman trying to mimic human entertainment with only the cliffnotes of what normal said entertainment looks like.

I fell off the wagon for a while. I came back and checked a year or two ago, and the site culture just felt... different. I didn't like it as much.
My favorite is SCP-1048.
It's a cute little teddy bear that was all friendly to everyone until it started to make clones of itself out of scrap metal, human ears, and even an aborted baby. Crazy.

Looking at some of the 2000 series, it seems a lot looser

How do you mean, looser? I can kind of see that meshing with what I meant, I guess? I was thinking more along the lines of the community is... softer, not as tough on shit as it used to be.
[sp]In some regards it feels almost tumblr-y as well...[/sp]

Laxer with their standards what an SCP should be I guess. I saw at least two or three that looked like the should be -J.

Oh yeah, I read one today that made me laugh until I realized it wasn't -J.
To be fair though, there are some amusing ones that aren't -Js, like the tomatoes.

Isnt tumblr recorded as an SCP ?
Isnt tumblr recorded as an SCP ?
I don't know, but it sure feels like one at times...
On that topic though, I followed Clef on Tumblr because I was hoping for SCP stuff and just had to stop altogether because he kept reblogging terrible fanart and gay porn of the character Clef.
Honestly I don't think funny scips should be classified as jokes, unless they're specifically unserious (like the completely normal insects that scare researchers to death in that one -J).
It makes sense that for every ten world destroying artifacts there should at least be a funny one, most anomalies seem to appear just for the heck of it anyway.

There are funny ones that are pretty clever and creative, and then there are ones are just straight up jokes, like the flying cows or that alien one in the 2000 series.

I read neither, could you link?

This is a good one.
An SCP game that played like XCOM would be sweet. Deploying Mobile Task Forces to recover SCP's, building your base with a heavy emphasis on designing and building containment... I don't know if I'd play anything else.
There was one I read last night, I forget the number but it was a large format camera with a device connected to it that alters the light it to make the image give some kind of subliminal emotional reaction. It starts with innocuous things like an apple that made atheists uncomfortable and Christians relieved, up to shit that made a few class D's go crazy and break out of containment

I got it. A Tumblr Account SCP that constantly posts porn pictures of every human being, even if those people never remembered doing any of that.

Tumblr got me thinking
What if an SCP was an entire gender?

That got me triggered.

I identify as a toaster!
An SCP that is a word that triggers everybody who is exposed to it, just like ██████████.
