Eat honey. I had a sore throat and it felt so nice just eating spoonfuls of honey. Try it.
Not sucking dick usually helps.
If it wasn't for you learning from experience, I may have made it worse by sucking on dick, luckily for me I can avoid it now. Thanks! Update on my throat and other shit: I got home from the doctors and he just told me to take advil cold and sinus, when I got home I felt really really fucking naueseas so I had a warm bath and I felt good at the time.. When I got out, I felt just as shitty, if not worse. I went and laid in my bed and my dad gave me a cold cloth to put on my neck, and I passed the fuck out. I had the most fucked up sleep ever, it felt as if I was lucid dreaming kind of, it's really really hard to explain what happened but it was just fucked up. Thanks for the help everyone, keep it coming!
Go to sauna, it helps. Forgot to mention this bit of advice previously. Otherwise you could try boiling some water and then put your face above it and use a cloth to hold the steam in (be careful to not to burn yourself).
stop sucking dick?
You got ninja'd, bud.
If it's a viral infection, (most likely is) then you cannot do jack shit. Just probably a bad flu of some sort, wait it out.
Hope you didn't get a deep throat, if so it will scar you for life.
One time I had one that felt like swallowing knives. Doctor said 'oh it's nothing it'll go on it's own'. but after a test it was a quite bad infection that needed antibiotics. in other words, go to the doctors
A tablespoon of honey. Whenever my throat hurts i eat two tablespoons of honey and it helps tremendously.
One problem, I HATE HONEY. I'll most likely throw up once I can taste it. @Demisemiquaver: I've been to the doctors twice now, they said it's a viral infection and that I'm just going to have to suffer it out, I'm just trying to find ways to soothe the pain or help get rid of this faster.. It seems Halls are the only things that are really helping take the pain away.

A spoonfull of sugar helps the medici... honey go down
Dude I hate honey too but your throat will thank you for it.
True. But what's so good about Honey, why does it make your throat feel better?
I honestly have no clue. My dad told me that it works and it does.
It's obviously a temporary relieve. How long did the pain go away for you?
Eat stuff like pepper mints as they are known to help sore throats. Always helps to use warm salt water and gargle as well.
Sacrifice a goat and feast on it's blood
It's obviously a temporary relieve. How long did the pain go away for you?
To be honest not that long. Maybe 10 mins. but after the pain came back I just ate more honey. It kind of sucks but better then having a sore throat all the time.
When I was little and had a sore throat, my mom had this Vicks air thing and it put this stuff in the air and it made it humid which sort of moistened my throat. Felt good. Get one of those. looked like this:
Thats a humidifier. They're pretty good to have. Rub some Vicks Vaporub on your neck, that helps sometimes.
You got ninja'd, bud.
No, I saw his post. I just didn't think he said it right. But the weed idea is a good one if smoking is something you do every now and then. I know people who say it's the best "sick" remedy, but I wouldn't smoke up if it's too out of the ordinary. Around when I first decided to stop smoking everyday and I was at a friends once. I cut my fingernail too far down that day, then I chewed the hell out of. Shit started bleeding and was crazy painful. I put a band-aid around it but you know the story. How no bandaid/tape/gauze strip you find puts the right amount of pressure on the very tip of your thumb to ease the pain. After an hour of cradling your wounded appendage you stub it on something and it hurts worse than before. That's when I decided to join the guys outside. I don't remember much about after that, it was a few years back, but I do remember that it only took less than a CoD4 match before I was able to strap a clean bandage on and type on a keyboard. (note that depending on how often I "practic" typing I can type up to 110+ gwam.)
Ouch.. I always love a good big glass o' peppermint tea with a tablespoon of honey it it. Mmmmm.
Hot Tea w/ Honey. Also, best brand of Throat Lozenges are Fishermans Friend. They might taste like shitty menthol and black licorice, but they WORK.
You could have mono, The classical symptoms of mononucleosis are a sore throat, fever, fatigue, weight loss, malaise, pharyngeal inflammation, petechiae and loss of appetite. Common signs include lymphadenopathy (enlarged lymph nodes), splenomegaly (enlarged spleen), hepatitis (refers to inflammation of hepatocytes - cells in the liver) and hemolysis (the bursting of red blood cells). Older adults are less likely to have a sore throat or lymphadenopathy, but are instead more likely to present with hepatomegaly (enlargement of the liver) and jaundice. Rarer signs and symptoms include thrombocytopenia (lower levels of platelets), with or without pancytopenia (lower levels of all types of blood cells), splenic rupture, splenic hemorrhage, upper airway obstruction, pericarditis and pneumonitis. Another rare manifestation of mononucleosis is erythema multiforme. Mononucleosis is sometimes accompanied by secondary cold agglutinin disease—an autoimmune disease in which abnormal circulating antibodies directed against red blood cells can lead to a form of autoimmune hemolytic anemia. The cold agglutinin detected is of anti-i specificity. Patients with infectious mononucleosis are sometimes misdiagnosed with a streptococcal pharyngitis (because of the classical clinical triad of fever, pharyngitis and adenopathy) and are given antibiotics such as ampicillin or amoxicillin as treatment. Some studies indicate that approximately 80-90% of patients with acute Epstein Barr virus infection treated with such antibiotics develop a red, diffuse rash -------------------------------- Wikipedia Also look here http://www.medicinenet.com/infectious_mononucleosis/page2.htm#3whatare
Ain't mono. Went to the doctors twice and both doctors said they've been seeing lots of patients with the same symptoms and it's just a virus that's going around.
Fucking have one now. God Dammit
I have a sore throat right now. Drinking coke doesn't help just a tip. Makes it worse if anything
