my friend sold me his beaker bong he bought for $200 at a headshop to me for only $80 bucks. good deal. i know it was $200 cause i was with him when he bought it. it's dirty as fuck ik but i plan on completely cleaning it tomorrow and making it look brand new

Holy shit that is literally the exact same bong I own except mine has "Jerome" stamped on it (not jerome baker.) I got it for $40 at a local headshop, $200 for nothing but an ice catch is extremely extreme. A basic beaker bong is my favorite though, I just love the way they hit.

Nice, it even has the same downstem, that is mine clean unfortunately. I've tried almost everything and I can't get it spotless.
I just let it soak in salt + alcohol for 12+ hours then I shook it all out, and what I did was empty the alcohol into a separate bowl so only the salt was inside the bong, and then shake the salt just by itself. Move the salt around the bong by tilting it and shake it vigorously, it completely destroyed the resin on mine. Giant burnt splotches came off like nothing. Then I re-added the alcohol, shook it more, and rinsed it with hot water. Completely cleaned

This is how I usually clean mine, I don't ever let my stuff get too dirty. For really heavy rez, Grunge Off works really well. Its not an instant cleaner, you have to let it soak for a bit. It works better than iso+salt though. It's a bit pricey, but you can run it through a coffee filter and reuse it for a while though. Smells nice too.

Yeah I absolutely hate people who never clean their pieces. The friend who gave me the bong used to never clean it. I think he has once and hes had it for like 6 months, smoking near every day. The joint used to have like an inch thick coating of res it was so disgusting.
But yeah I've considered buying grunge off or Formula 420, but I'm not sure.
I have bought 420 cleaner once, then got turned on to 99% iso (you can get the 99% at certain stores)+ epsom salt. Honestly I'm convinced that the branded shit is just iso + small salts + smelly ingredients..
I do like that I'm still using 420 cleaner that was bought over a year ago, once it was out of liquid, I would just re-fill it up with iso and it was good to go again because theres more salt than liquid. Also it turns from blue to green once it was dirty

Picked up this beaker for $85 at a headshop in Charleston, immensely pleased with it. The downstem is the perfect length, and the bowl is a little small but this is mostly for personal use so its all good. I couldn't be bothered to get them out from my desk though....

I've always liked those beaker bongs, they're nice and simple and that stable base would be perfect for me since there was a few times with my old bong that it rolled over and broke the stem (yes frost im looking at you, haha). Where would I be able to get a decently priced one on the internet, cause the headshop here is stupid overpriced and sells fake brands.
