I had the same piece, mine was just longer with a shallower bowl.
Drove a buddy to the nearby headhsop Herb 'n Legend and he bought me an ashcatcher percolator.

10 inches, the ashcatcher almost makes it too front heavy but thankfully it has a large base.

Tried to make a bong out of a 1.5L plastic water bottle, a broken off BIC pen, some aluminum foil and a lot of tape.
I'm pretty sure I smoked more plastic than weed. It got me high, but probably because of minor poisoning.
Lesson learned, just go out and buy a piece.
If I really want to smoke and have ABSOLUTELY nothing to smoke with, I skip over plastic death bongs and just empty out a cigarette for a poor man's joint.
