That actually sounds really cool and perhaps I'll do that someday, but I'm looking to make something kinda serious :v:
Post-apocalyptic survival stories are always great.
What am I doing wrong? I tried this thing where I mean that in todays society it can be hard to find a friend or a love or something to make you happy because everything else we need is already given to us. There is nothing to write about, all remarkable stuff in life has already been written about. [editline]5th August 2011[/editline] What I realised when I was writing this was that it's just my thoughts and it may or probably is not at all like this.

Woah, that's actually not a bad idea... actually it's a great idea!
I hate to intrude considering that I'm only an amateur musician (and a lurker to boot) but would anyone know how to record songs made in Guitar Pro 5 on Windows 7? There isn't an option under "Recording Driver" when I choose to export it as a WAVE file.

The concerts yesterday at the local festival went well, even if it was constantly raining and the only people watching were the people who were going to play(and some that had played), some parents and kids. The best thing was that I hoarded free potato-chips, hot dogs and coke like crazy after the concert :v: Anyone else do this or is it just me? If it's free it's free!
I use this program called Switch Sound File Converter Plus. It can turn MIDI files into MP3s.
The songs I wrote won't work as a MIDI, they use the RSE, not MIDI instruments.
It still is guitar pro, which means it is still .midi.
The songs I wrote won't work as a MIDI, they use the RSE, not MIDI instruments.
My songs won't work as MIDI, I made them in Omnisphere? wat do? (what dick said)
All of my keyboard recordings are off time an inconsistent amount and it's really annoying. I would like to blame it on myself, but when I play it I feel like I'm on time, and when i play it back the notes are all pretty off. Maybe I should try recording what I play in audacity.

That's usually what I do, but it takes a lot of adjustment because two notes that I hit at the same time are way off. I'm pretty confident that it's a latency issue because I don't sound nearly off time in the line out recording as a do in the midi capture recording. I have a feeling that hooking up my keyboard to my audio interface directly would solve the issue, but that isn't possible with the Oxygen49 because it only has a usb out. I would like to blame it on myself because my timing isn't at all perfect, but I'm just so far off on these keyboard recording.
ASIO drivers yo
Got them. Eh, I'll have to spend a while trying to fix it. Wasn't an issue like a year ago, so I just have to find what changed.
Quantizing is your friend(if it's midi)
Personally I'd prefer not to quantize because I like my phrasing. I don't have an issue quantizing rhythm tracks, but I'd prefer to leave leads alone. On guitar I find myself using a lot of phrasing instinctively, a lot of times having playing a note early to bypass the attack time. Like the full amplitude of the note may not be reached for .1s (overestimating) and sometimes it sounds cool to put the amplitude on the beat as opposed to where you just plucked the string. I wouldn't be aware of this if I didn't analyze my guitar playing and try to figure out why I was doing certain things.

Just started learning the solo for "Time". It's not that good yet, but I'd like if you'd tell me what I should do differently. :v: other than learning the whole solo durr

Move all of it back a beat or less(or more, lol), and see if it works. [editline]7th August 2011[/editline]
Just started learning the solo for "Time". It's awesome otherwise. Also damn you wake up early

I love eletronic music, I produce eletronic music. I often receive lots of hate for that from other musicians.
Probably because of your attitude. I complain about anybody who feels the need to say what DAW they used on a song, like "new FL Studios track - "Raining"". Or maybe you remix songs that shouldn't be remixed. Or maybe you make bad music. Though, you might just be showing your music to people who hate electronic stuff.
Do you guys know any looping program/vst/anything, that i can loop with? By looping i mean like with a looping station, kinda what for example beardyman does a lot. I've been searching for that but havent found anything good yet.. It would be awesome if it had even something more than only the looping in it. Like some pitch options and effects.

More vibrato and cleaner bends. Also more feeling, which is an abstract term, but it's more that you want to get into what you're playing. It's hard to do with things you're not comfortable playing so this will likely come with time, but I'd still try to incorporate it. Also, I'm pretty sure you're learning off a guitar pro tab, which is why you're putting some stuff in there that doesn't belong. Listen to the song and modify the tab to what sounds right to you, because a lot of tabs and guitar pro stuff is inaccurate. Something that I find helps is to improvise your own solo over the track trying to get the feel of the solo being actually learning the solo.

I have come to realize that I need more instruments. Could I technically install FL Studio onto a laptop so that I can jam with my friends who have other instruments?
