That's not true at all. I've found lots of good tutorials without even looking that much
Is it possible to just record what I play on my Midi Keyboard into the piano roll in fl studio.
Cause I've been using the mouse and it sucks.

Yeah, that's the problem I've been having. I didn't just ask for a laugh, I'm struggling to find anything decent and a few hours of messing about hasn't gotten me that far, I can't get it thick enough even with distortion and detuning.
Meh I think I've overrated myself tbh, I stink at making music. I can never complete or do something to feel satisfied about. This recording thing isn't working out either, perhaps music just isn't my thing I don't know.
thinking like that is a sure good way to fail
if you don't enjoy making music don't, if you do, keep doing it
you're not making music for anyone other than yourself are you?
I guess you're right. It'd be a great achievment for me to do something to be proud of though, really haven't ever done anything like that.
you dont have to be proud of it you just have to enjoy making it
and if you don't enjoy making music then you should probably give up, you're not out to prove anything and if you don't enjoy doing it, don't do it at all.

if you push yourself to make 'good music' you'll scrutinize everything and it will all sound shit to you anyway
I guess you're right. I'll stop pushing myself and just do what I feel like, and maybe eventually something will come out of it.
What's more annoying is the stage is where everything you do sound good. This really messes with you because you start doubting that it really does sound good, you start thinking that you're ears are wrong. So you give yourself a sobriety test, pass it, keep making music thinking it's horrible regardless of it sounding good, and you of course play it conservative because there is a strong doubt these ideas are any good, and then you figure out some time later that it was good and that you shouldn't be so skeptical of your musical ability when you feel you're making good music.
Played a concert with my progressive fusion/jazz funk-band today, in front of 4000 people. Pretty insane, but we got lucky since we got to play after Madcon(if you're from scandinavia, you know who this is).

I don't know who or what Madcon is and I'm right next to Scandinavia

They've been on MTV and everything. I'm pretty sure there's people outside of Norway that know who they are :v:
I guess thats why.
I never watch MTV or any other music TV channel.
I know madcon and I'm not anywhere near scandinavia
There ya, go. I knew people had heard of them outside scandinavia.
I don't know them from here, nobody in America listens to them
Well, I'm not really a fan of them so. But they're pretty famous here.

No, the worst is when you go past that stage and then you're thinking but what if my music sounds good to me so I think it's bad but then again It's probably actually good and I have shitty self confidence but that might just be me...
And it goes on.
I could write a book about this shit

It's easier to assume if it sounds good to you it is good and just man up and post it on forums and see waht people think
Just take pride in your work but be able to take criticism. Thats all it really takes.
Jesus. I've been listening to the same projects for way too long. I want to finish them but they all sound so dead to me. Does anyone else get that?

I always find if I leave something too long and then come back to it I can't work on it anymore. I get a massive block and its frustrating if I find old pieces with a bit of potential.
Some people take a year to write an album. I couldn't do that. I usually come up with and finish songs pretty quickly, a week at the longest, and the recording and mixing phase that takes far longer than the composing process.
I did take some advice from somebody and usually use sampled drums in my compositions/demos and that seems to help the process along. I'll go back later and record or program a drum track.
I enjoy making music but I fucking HAAAAAAAAAATE PROGRAMMING DRUMS AAAAH SO TEDIOUS

You should get into making house

It's the easiest genre to make. It's also the most boring IMO :/
i hate electronic music but thanks for the suggestion
