It was a joke since pretty much every house track ever has 4 to the floor drums.
Also I wouldn't really call house the easiest genre to make. Just as to any other genre there are challenges
I used to hate all electronic music
Then I listened to Death From Above 1979 and their organic and phat as fuck beatz made with a bassist and a drummer and I changed my mind.
Then I branched out and found Daft Punk were alright/okay
considering listening to kraftwerk or something
Do you really have to consider listening to something?
You really shouldn't dismiss all electronic music. I mean that's like me dismissing all acoustic music because I happen to like more electronic than acoustic.
I have a tight music schedule of things I love and need to listen to, and stuff that is supposed to be good and I should listen to, that's why I consider listening to kraftwerk as it may not be worth my time in the end
electronic is alright, not really that special imo
i hate electronic music but thanks for the suggestion
you sound just like my dad wtf
On other news I have just discovered that the clarinet is an awesome instrument and I'll be sure to use it in all of my tracks.
I don't like electronic music either tbh. Just some retro electronic, because there isn't much actual computing involved.
Oh and industrial is awesome aswell.
I like music too
i hate all music because theres making involved

Can anyone tell me what key that song is in? I tried to find out, but I'm really bad at hearing what key it would be in, I'm guessing A though, but I'm not sure.

Sounds like 8 bar blues in Amajor. So you're right.
Aaww yeah :D
by electronic I mean programmed music. any music that is actually being played by a musician as opposed to played by a media player on said musician's computer is okay by me. You can't express yourself if you're not actually doing anything. This is why I can listen to electronic music like Freezepop and so on. The drums are pre-written of course, but they are actually playing all of the keyboard parts, live and in studio.

why do you get annoyed at things like that, appreciate all music and you'll appreciate life more.
life suxx fuck it
[editline]21st August 2011[/editline]
it doesn't annoy me though I just don't listen to it because that's the ideology I have it's not like I'm going into prodigy or dnb threads preaching
As long as it sounds good to me, I don't give a fuck how it's made.
It's not as if I research how music is made, it's just something I can sort of figure out. After at least three solid listens I can figure out if I like something or not, and with rare exception I never enjoy any programmed music, which has influenced, or almost created part of my ideology in regards to the qualities of music.
Well okay then. You don't like electronic music. But please don't say it's worse than acoustic music just because it's programmed because that would be kinda stupid

Stop listening to bad generic electronic music then.
I've been talking with a bass instructor! Hopefully I can start playing with him! Maybe finally I'll learn some useful stuff :v:
One thing I think every musician should do is to listen to lots of different music. Even to stuff you hate. Really it helps. You get a broader perspective, you get new ideas, all that.

Oh you gotta record some slap bass parts. And post them here ofc.
I can't play slapbass! Hopefully I'll learn it though
Please do I need some slap bass loops :(
Slap bass is really the coolest thing you can do. Just imagine kicking that dude playing 2 different chords on his guitar for girls to the side and slapping some incredible funk. You'd have so much sex it would hurt.
I played nothing but primus for a year and now I'm amazing at slap but terrible with fingers or picks (especially picks)

Is there a darker form of electronic music? I've tried listening to stuff on internet radio and it is all way too peppy.
