6/x is still (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) whereas X can in theory be anything
you got me all wrong
i was telling you where the emphasis would be e.g. 6/8 is 1 2 3 4 5 6
that's how i do it at least
6/8 the emphasis is on 1 and 4. I can't imagine counting it the way you do; it is really odd. It's just an extended version of 3/4 really
my brain must be brokened then

True, when I play drums to 6, the kick is on the 1st and snare is on the 4th beat. Of course, there's always different ways to play beats. Always cool to try and play stuff a little differently.
Well guys I plan on releasing 3 projects:
1 is my "Acoustic Works" album, which will feature original classical pieces on a steel string acoustic
2 is my "Piano Sessions" album, which I will compose the music to MIDI using a DAW and play it through a Yamaha MM6's high quality voices when I aquire my MM6, among other previously released works in the Dreamscape album
3 is a collaborative metal project with Vedicardi which will be a pain in the ass
Not sure about my priorities though
Hey guys, I got a new song done!

so productive
I've heard a few people who say they have perfect pitch claim it is more of a curse than a gift, because they always recognize when something is off.
I can confirm this. For some reason, whenever music plays on a dubbed TV show, it's always half a step higher than it normally is. So whenever a song that I know comes on, it annoys me because I'm used to hearing it half a step lower.
It's also irritating when you hear an instrument being played out of tune and you can't do anything about. Usually when I'm with guitar playing friends I can say "tune that G string just a liiittle higher", but if there's someone performing live and they're a tiny bit off, it's really frustrating.
And bands like Pantera that tune a quarter step down can get on my nerves sometimes. I enjoy the music itself, but if I try to learn a song of theirs on bass, I can't decide wether to play one note or a half step above it, but in the end they're both wrong because it's the note in between.
But besides all these inconveniences, absolute pitch is fun.
so why don't you just tune half flat? anyone who can tune by ear should be able to do it in no time.
because i feel uncomfortable playing notes outside of the 12 note temperament
I bet indian music really gets on your nerves. microtones are the way to go, semitones are for cunts
Eb is the best tuning.
Period.

Heh, I've been hired as a drum teacher for the local marching band. Teaching them on both snare and drum kit-playing. Awesome!
FL Studio/Massive is tearing me apart, ok, so I make a patch in massive and it sounds good, then I save and the next time I open the project it sounds completely different, I even saved the patch file in Massive.
At first it sounds like this:

Then it sounds like this:

Anyone else had the same problem before?

The LFO speed automation is disappearing.

What DAW, what VST. Are they the newest versions?
What DAW, what VST. Are they the newest versions?
oh, yeh, that might be the problem. My computer is a mess at the moment, guess i'll have to clean it up and update stuff.
OH god! I think I may have lost a little bit of my mid range in my right ear. Will this affect my music making abilities?
That concert was awesome, but I REALLY need to be more careful now.
you probably didn't lose anything. don't overreact. It takes longer than you think to lose hearing, but still, be careful

You usually lose the higher frequency hearing first, so don't worry. Even if it seemed like you ahve worse hearing immediately afterwards it probably will get back. But yeah, loud stuff makes your hearing shitty.

I tell people time and time again, buy a set of earplugs and keep them with your keys or whatever you carry around. And use them if you feel you might be damaging your ears.

I never gig without them and if it's a local pub-gigging band that has an obscenely loud PA I will use them.
Once your hearing is gone, It's gone.
I have tinnitus in my left ear, and not because I listen to loud music (I don't), but with my job in the recycle center, at least every 5 minutes, people throw glass bottles away, which make a loud noise. I am currently doing my last days of work in the recycle center, because I don't want to lose my hearing for 5 euros/hour.

Either way that sounds really fucking cool, and I don't even like that type of bass driven electronic that much
Working on my first ever proper remix. There's a contest about for Kuffdam's track "We Gotta Go (Again)."
