That feel when you spent the past one and a half hours recording the bass for a song, only to start doing guitar and realize you FORGOT a chorus and have to either craftily edit it (no idea how) or redo the entire thing.
Fuck.
Chorus' are overrated pointless constructs created to amuse mindless mainstream sheep. Go without it ;)
The chorus is about sex, hating someone and beating the snot out of them. Can't leave that out.

Hell, that's what the entire song is about. Can't leave any of it out, or it'll cramp ma style.
Bah, heartbroken. No drum-room for me, since the woman I talked to thought I was renting it just for a weekend. They had to prioritize youths and kids wanting start band.
Fuck it, I'm moving to another city.
Anyone know where I can pick up a vox wah really cheap?

Other than craigslist?
I'm afraid of craigslist now.

So, is anyone here in a band? I see a lot of people doing solo electronic stuff, which is cool, but I mean an actual band with members and stuff

I haven't been in an actual band in a good while, I'm more like a session musician right now.
I've been wanting to start up a band again though, I've built up a lot of ideas since I last had any obligations to share them with my band mates and I'd hate to have them go to waste.

Yep, in a blues-band atm. Playing 3 gigs the next 4-5 weeks. We're going to be playing on something called a blues-marathon the 4th of february. I've never been to one, so I'm pretty exited.
Also got a 3x45 min concert coming this weekend.
I'm practicing for jazz-studies, but I need some help with intervals.
Anyone know any tunes that begins with these intervals:
Minor sixth.
Minor Seventh.
Major Seventh.
I'm trying to make it easier to remember, by relating them to tunes.

I can't think of any off the top of my head that start with a minor sixth but the theme for star trek: the original series starts with a minor seventh and somewhere over the rainbow starts with a major seventh

I will be as of next weekend. Blues rock motherfucker! I have two friends in, just need a keyboard/organist, we can manage for now. I promise to post some music for y'all. I finally have a house out in the middle of nowhere where I can crank that 60w boogie.
We'll be playing some swing, jazz, and of course blues songs. I'll probably have help writing some songs with my friends in the band.
I might have a "solo" swing song that I can post tonight if my mama remembers to bring my mic.

I'm a bassist in:
A chili peppers tribute band
A funk-rock-pop originals band
And part-time in a bluegrass/folk band.
Not really into the whole electronic thing, but if that's your thing then fine by me.

Last time I checked, "Somewhere over the rainbow" starts with an octave. At least the "Some-WHEEERE" part. Thanks for the star trek.
it's some to over that's the major seventh
[editline]16th January 2012[/editline]
it's tonic > octave > major seventh through the first three notes

Checked out the drum-track I gave you yet?
I have to learn how to use Logic Pro by friday.
Does anyone know a good tutorial video series or anything? I know how to use a couple DAWs but Logic isn't one of them.

i think this is good place to ask, what is mastering and mixing that people talk about like they say mastering needs fixing or mixing is bad?
i think this is good place to ask, what is mastering and mixing that people talk about like they say mastering needs fixing or mixing is bad?
volume, dynamics, and such. everything has to fit together right and if mixing and mastering is bad then it usually doesn't.
see king crimson for good mixing and mastering, avenged sevenfold for bad mixing and mastering
i think this is good place to ask, what is mastering and mixing that people talk about like they say mastering needs fixing or mixing is bad?
tldr
mixing = balancing of elements
mastering = polishing / fine-tuning / compressing the finished mix
