Sure. My uncle is gonna try to film, but I don't know how strict they are in terms of filming concerts.
Also, they pay is as much beer as we want and free festival passes.

Just got word that I need to bring my own drums, which is awesome. I hate playing on "house" kits or other peoples kits. Going to tune my drums out in the sun, since they've been lying in the basement for half a year now.
I'm thinking of buying a cheap ukulele, but would that be a complete waste of money?
And by cheap I mean reallyreally cheap. :v:

A cheap ukulele is great if you have no prior experience with one. You can throw them around, take it places and not worry too much about it because it's only a cheap one.
You must bear in mind though that they will be a bitch to tune. I've got a cheap ukulele and the action is quite high so fretted notes come out quite sharp and it gets worse the further up the neck you go. From what I understand, these sorts of tuning issues are common with almost all cheap ukuleles.
I wouldn't recommend a cheap one if you plan on recording it or anything but if it's just for messing around with then go for it, they are great fun and easy to pick up. Not to mention some filing and fiddling would probably be able to sort out the tuning issues.

It's probably going to be a pain in the ass to play compared to my S470 (duh), but I'm thinking it'd still be pretty fun. :v:
I'm not too worried about that though, 20€ won't break my bank.
Bah, not long until the festival and I'm already feeling nervous. Shit sucks..

Don't worry. Only your whole career depends on it.

Thanks. Not only is there going to be over 2000 people, but also 3 video cams and live recording from the mixer/Pa-system..
This is why I'd rather be playing jazz in a small and cozy club..
Think positively.
If you fail, you'll get your wish.
If you don't fail, you'll get loads of dosh
It's a win/win situation broseph.
Hah, yeah. I'm pretty sure it will go well, but there's always this anxiety before big gigs. Especially since it's over 3 years since I've played for this many people.
Just gotta think positive and concentrate on the music, instead of thinking about not playing wrong and be anxious about stuff that rarely happens..

You'll do great, don't worry. :buddy:

Nervous is good, it means you want to do it and that you'll put everything you have into it. You can start worrying when you stop feeling nervous to play music in front of people, because that's the day you're not loving it anymore. =)

Either that, or you're just used to it.
Either that, or you're just used to it.
Well, you'll still be nervous, but more... excited than scared.
The last time I played in front of an audience (aka my first time) was a disaster.
Our guitarist's amp broke, I couldn't hear the keyboardist and our bassist was sick.
So basically it was me on the drums and a few girls singing :v:
That's the worst thing that can ever happen, when you can't hear eachother.
Either that, or you're just used to it.
I hope I never get to the point where I'm not nervous of playing in front of people, be it just a few to thousands.
I did have a gig last night actually, we dragged our stuff and got some electricity and just played some of the stuff we have done so far out in a park, lots of people were drinking last night so we decided to just do something for fun and it was actually pretty well recieved! Was tons of fun. =)
Just got back from practicing with the band, and my anxiety is more or less gone. We're also gonna practice sometimes tomorrow, just to be sure before we rig up on the festival. The worst point is always when you go out on the stage, and counting in the first hit. After that, it's all good.
