I might have to play Bioshock then. I played the demo and it wasn't quite what I was hoping for, but if it's this good then I guess I should.
The beggining is kinda boring at the start, but once you kill this first boss it gets alot more fun.
On the movie's comment, I can't wait, Pirates of the Caribbean turned out awesome.
I went to universal studios and while walking through one of the prop rooms, I actually saw a bust of a head and taped to it was a note that said "Hold for Rapture."
Rapture is the codename for the Bioshock movie, from what one of the workers told me.

Not to mention it's in the Bioshock font.
I think this will go with lines of most video game movies.
When they hit the theaters, they have nothing to do with game.
I'm yet to see the video game movie that goes with the lines of the game.
i hated the game
I didn't like the game to much, but it could be a good movie I guess.
I really thought the game would've been scarier but it was just like Drag Me to Hell. Which was a horrible movie.
Even FEAR was scarier than bioshock.
Phew.. Good thing Uwe Boll didn't get the job or I would've shot myself. :smithicide:

It's more of a thriller than a horror.

I felt Bioshock was more about the atmosphere and how alone you actually feel.
Well in most games you are pretty much alone because the AI on your team usually sucks and you do everything.
The IMDB message boards are a faceplam fest.
Directed by Uwe Boll
Okay I'm just kidding, its By Gore Verbinski - Director of Pirates of the Caribbean
Not going to be another tale of Bioshock, it going to be a remake of the game
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1230526/
Thing that is scaring me is the fact that the same director is making a movie called "Rango" where a house hold pet goes on an adventure.
I really have mixed thoughts about this.
You scared me there a little :argh:
Bioshock is really one of the few games I could see working as a movie. Only problem is: Jack has the Gordon Freeman disease (aka shuts up the whole game [sp]apart from the intro[/sp]). That could be tricky.
Zach Snyder should direct it, but it would be full of slow-mo.
Haha yeah. That'd be a good movie.
I hope they don't mess it up like the Doom movie in the '70's. Or the Incredible Hulk.
If only he was still alive. He would have made a great Andrew Ryan.

When the movie comes out, we now need to spot this one specific prop.
OH FUCk
haha you got me
I am a bad reader.
oh no you read the first line correct.
you just didn't read the other part
Oh please PLEASE let this be good. At least it's not directed by Uwe Boll. If the movie's gonna be shit, then I'd rather they didn't make one at all. Valve have the right idea, despite having one of the most successful game franchises of all the time, they know that game movies usually turn out shit, so there's been no Half Life movie.

I really didn't know there have been offers to do Half Life as a movie...
Wouldn't it be cool if a game movie became a huge hit and won like 8 academy awards? Maybe then games would get less ignorant hate.
Too bad it'll prolly never happen.
Sander Cohen should be Hugh Laurie
WWZ movie comes out at the same time as this.
i think kevin spacey should play sander cohen and daniel day-lewis as andrew ryan

Apparently, Gabe Newell was handed some scripts for a Half-Life movie. He just said 'they all sucked' and moved on.
Liam Neeson should be Atlas.
Or Ewan Mcgregor.
I think it would actually make a good movie. You've also got the side story of Tenenbaum so it wouldn't just be Jack's ass on screen all the time.
There's a pretty good fan made trailer here

It's actually City of Ember.

Just popped into my head;

I like Verbinski because the Pirates trilogy is awesome but I won't believe that a video game movie will be good. I will never believe that, just like movie games will never be good.
