I think the movie is in good hands, can't wait to see the result on the screen.
Were it anyone else directing I would think this would crash and burn. But this could be good. Epic music will incur.
Liam Neeson should be Atlas. Or Ewan Mcgregor.
Ewan McGregor most definitely.
[offtopic] Just popped into my head; Check out the trailer for FarCry - Movie [/offtopic]
Needs Vin Diesel. Then it would be awesome.
Next thing: Fallout 3 the movie Half-life series the movie [already got scripts, but they sucked. why not gabe write them?] And usually it's the other way around. Wall-E movie, then the Wall-E game. etc. -> etc. game... usually kids movies.
Hopefully it will have a little more Gore, and a little less Verbinski.
I went to universal studios and while walking through one of the prop rooms, I actually saw a bust of a head and taped to it was a note that said "Hold for Rapture." Rapture is the codename for the Bioshock movie, from what one of the workers told me. Not to mention it's in the Bioshock font.
I was hoping it was going to be a movie that captures the themes, setting, and atmosphere of Bioshock, not the story.
You scared me there a little :argh: Bioshock is really one of the few games I could see working as a movie. Only problem is: Jack has the Gordon Freeman disease (aka shuts up the whole game [sp]apart from the intro[/sp]). That could be tricky.
Well, he dosnt really talk because there is noone to talk too. The splicers are all insane, and he's on a one-way radio the whole time. the only time when it would make sense for him to talk would be when he meets Teanunbaum The one lady who gets gassed to death the little sisters andrew rian frank fontaine. Apart from random other audio lines he yells at splicers or big daddies, Like "what do you want from me" "Hey, where are you." ect...
If only he was still alive. He would have made a great Andrew Ryan.
I thought the exact same thing when i was watching the original "Last man on earth" movie
Sander Cohen should be Hugh Laurie
Not so sure about that... Than again, its all in the acting. [editline]02:36PM[/editline]
Liam Neeson should be Atlas. Or Ewan Mcgregor.
Mcgregor defiantly, the accent would be good.
Why the fuck does Bioshock get a movie when Half Life doesn't.
Because VALVe doesn't want their good game made into a shit movie. Not that it would be shit, that's just the reason THEY gave.
Because VALVe doesn't want their good game made into a shit movie. Not that it would be shit, that's just the reason THEY gave.
No, it's probably because they don't want to revel Gordon's voice.
Hah. Uwer Balls you almost got me :v:
Well he made Pirates of the Caribbean which is a relatively "out-there" movie, and did it well. I would like to see Johnny Depp play Jack. He is just really good at playing "fucked up" characters.
The first and second PotC movies were good, but the third sucked.
I hope they don't fuck it up.
Well I didn't like the game, so mabey this film will present the story to me in a more pleasing way.
When people make video games into movies, they aren’t trying to make it only appeal to us; they want everyone to think it’s good. When doing so, they mess it up 100% of the time.
I feel inclined to point out that video games are destined to make shitty movies, whoever directs it.
No, it's probably because they don't want to revel Gordon's voice.
Gordon is mute. [editline]06:43PM[/editline]
The one lady who gets gassed to death. The only thing he says to anyone is to anyone is owiie. Sorta.
Having the fact that Jack is going to talk in the movie would be awkward for some of the gaming fans.
Having the fact that Jack is going to talk in the movie would be awkward for some of the gaming fans.
Solution: Make Jack a mime.
Directed by Uwe Boll Okay I'm just kidding, its By Gore Verbinski - Director of Pirates of the Caribbean Not going to be another tale of Bioshock, it going to be a remake of the game http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1230526/ Thing that is scaring me is the fact that the same director is making a movie called "Rango" where a house hold pet goes on an adventure. I really have mixed thoughts about this. Quoted for the truth.
FINALLY!!! I always wanted to see a movie over a GOOD game, but over the STORY of the game, not a thing in the same game Universe.
Here comes the love story in bioshock some fucking how :(
What lady gets gassed to death? The only thing he says to anyone is to anyone is owiie. Sorta.
I think he means Julie Langford, the woman that you get the chemical thrower from.
I can't wait for this, But the one thing that they will break (Same if they make a half-life movie) is that the main character will speak... I wonder who will play Atlas [sp]Fontaine[/sp]
I can't wait for this, But the one thing that they will break (Same if they make a half-life movie) is that the main character will speak... The thing that will make or break this movie is three important things; capturing the atmosphere, Andrew Ryan, and Atlas.
Here comes the love story in bioshock some fucking how :(
Jack and Tenenbaum sitting in a tree
jack and tenenbaum sitting in a tree
F, U, C, K, I, N, G. Anyways the only part I'm worried about is which ending they're gonna choose...
