Bioshock (2010) Movie - General

It's very hard to make a movie out of a game because the story of a movie has to be passive while the story of a game has to be active. So in this case I agree that the person has a bad taste because the movies had a very bad story. Now don't get me wrong here because action-movies can be fun, for example: Die Hard, even the 4th movie kept me as viewer thrilled eventhough it wasn't as good as the previous movies (Yippey Ka Yay Motherfucker!). And that's what it is about, the presentation: this is an action-movie, it will be all action and a little of humour, lot's of explosions, a ton of badass action and no half-assed story. A bad action movie could be, just an example, the Hitman movie. It was a fucking drama. They try to settle down some sort of story, you try to follow it but then they blow you away with some action and a half-assed storyline that makes no fucking sense anymore at all. Also if you want to know if you are watching a bad/semi-bad movie, notice the sex-scenes, if they last longer then 5 minutes you know it was placed there just to add some extra time to the movie or your father recorded his porn-flick over your movie. For a game it can be great, for a movie however it is not. (Way to go Captain Obvious!) I'll keep my hopes up for Bioshock, though I've got some mixxed feelings about this.

eh, a bioshock movie would be great and all, but what would be better is a system shock movie. Still hoping it does well.

Bioshock will make a good movie. FEAR would make a good movie. What have we got at the moment? Doom, Bloodrayne, Hitman (which was okay, I guess), and Uwe Boll.

I liked the Super Mario Bros. Movie.

I still don't understand how they fucked up the Doom Movie, it's as simple as, "Space Marine, Mars, Demons from Hell come through a trans-dimensional portal. Close the gate to Hell." Instead, they had to make some retarded thing about how they aren't demons (which would be awesome and insane) but instead mutants (which is lame and cliche) I mean, why DIDN'T they make them Demons? Were they worried religious/non-religious people would get upset?

Bioshock would make a good movie, but i'd still prefer to see headcrabs getting smacked across a room by a crowbar on the big screen. I enjoyed the Silent Hill movie greatly, as did I with the first two Resident Evil Movies. Bioshock has such a wonderful story, you can't mess it up.

Unless you add a love story...
