A suggested possibility is that both clothing and the person are caused to burn by a discharge of static electricity. A person walking across a carpet can build up sufficient charge and voltage to create a spark. It is unlikely that this could start a clothing fire, as although the voltage can be high (several thousand volts), the stored energy is very low (typically less than a joule).
You will light on fire.
Check if your clothes generate a lot of static. My coat does that, so I touch something grounded while putting it on/taking it off lest I cause damage to my phone or MP3 player.
Welcome to my world !
It happens to me from time to time.
wearing 2 layers of different fabric causes you to charge more static electricity, your body becomes a type of capacitor. That's why your clothes hiss when you take them off sometimes, its the static electricity discharging.

That means spider-man can't touch you
are you not using any fabric softener when you put your clothes in the wash?
without fabric softener, your clothes become more static.. and then comes a shock.
....woman speaking.
Heh.
My computer chair gives me always shock when I stand up
