Its your new shoes causing it.
No, these boots are 2 years old.
Either you're a super hero, or you're dragging your feet to much.
I had this a fuck load at the place i worked, that had incredibly well maintained tile floors, that were polished 24/7 and i wore formal shoes to work and created so much static that everything i touched gave me a shock, worst was when i was in the cargo elevator and pressed the lift button, i had the largest shock ive ever experienced, bloody hurt like a son of a bitch.
My Aunt's spaniels do this. Then the smug mofo's take a leak on your socks at the same time.

Happened to me a week ago.
Touch EVERYONE
I got shocked wicked bad by the door on my truck the other day, my arm went numb for a few minutes.
This is because electrons (the thing responsible for electricity) build up on you because when you rub certain things like clothing or a carpet, electrons from that material move over to you. If you do this enough then the electrons have to go off you somehow so it does this by "jumping" midair to a nearby object that is a good conductor if you're close enough.
I would love to do that, I used to rub against rubber chairs and stuff and shock people. :v:

Pretty much the same here. Just have some piece of metal to discharge on before you touch anything else. For example, part of your desk that is made of metal.
I get this all the time with the car.
Either you're a super hero, or you're dragging your feet to much.
Or a supervillian
Or a combination of either superhero and dragging feet, or supervillian and dragging feet.
This is getting serious guys
He shocked me over steam chat!
Welcome to the winter!
Yesterday, I pulled an electrical plug that wasn't in all the way. I always grab the protected part but my finger slipped and hit the metal while it was connected to the 120v wall jack. My entire arm was shocked with a sensation like no other. If I was grounded I could have very well been killed. My foot was less than 3 inches from my metal computer case.
To stop it, get some foam, stand on it, touch metal, done!!!!
Also, Stop fapping.
Interesting thing, that static discharge he's getting.
