You have to make an actual pilot before even asking for money, even real shows does that.
So yeah, with no pilot how do we know if it's going to be decent?
Well you're completely right that there needs to be some sort of pilot. All I'm saying is that this pilot wasn't good. If the pilot isn't good, there's no reason to fund the project.

Calm down sir. I have.
Donate for a project that does nothing to deserve your money if you want.

Really? Those trailers were pathetic attempts to recreate any kind of feeling similar to the movie experience.
Oh man, that was awesome.
You want GOOD MOVIES with shit trailers then?

Goodfellas' trailer wasn't up to the same standard as the actual movie.

Yeah, some people need to understand that watching a trailer most of the time isn't like seeing the movie at all.
I rarely want to see them because they're mostly shit just to attract simple-minded who aren't asked to read up on it.
People were pointing out how shoddy the acting and plot was. You're talking as if the actors will magically gain the talent to, ya'know act when they film the rest. Driver had a bad trailer in representation of the actual film, but it still had, stay with me here, good actors. which this team clearly lacks.
i feel like this is something i would have made with my friends in 8th grade

Wait, he literally has no hands?
Bwahahahaha.

No really, this sounds more like a sitcom about a guy without hands than a drama. People normally can't get over the fact that he has no hands, making even the most medial of tasks difficult.
I'm filming my first indie movie in June, it's only cost me about 700$ so far. I'm the acting director/producer/writer and actor all into one, and I can tell you from a consumer-basis standpoint that the editing in the video is shoddy. The clips jerk around a lot when transitioning and that's something you definitely don't want. Aim for subtle transitions.
And about the acting? It takes watching a lot of movies/ researching acting to figure out a good act. The no-hands guy goes between trying too hard and not trying hard enough in the trailer. It's not convincing at all.
I don't know much about camera work, but you said "How is the acting bad?", so I'll explain it to you.
Lack of characterization, if only from what you can tell from the trailer, adds to the shoddy acting. Good acting isn't just remembering to say the lines, or not looking at the camera. You guys do that, but you don't say the lines like the character you're portraying should say it. It's very, very insincere. You have to act, talk and react exactly as your character would if they were a real person. The only good delivery of lines was the voice at the start, and there was no physical presence to compare it with.
