That's what my cousin is. :ohdear:
I can swim, but if I have to stay still in deep water, I'm in trouble. I don't know why.
Cause you're too tense, once you relax you're totally fine, and when you're floating out at sea it's even easier cause the water is salty and more dense :v:
Swimming is easy, Believe me.
You only think it's hard because of your past experiences.
Just get into the water (Close to the shore at first) and you'll see that it goes more or less automaticly.
i hated swimming in the beginning, absolutely hated it. Right now I can stay underwater for 2 minutes while swimming around.
First lesson is today, I am somewhat excite.

Read the damn book
I'm kind-of between the "Michael Phelps" option and the "Not very good" option.
Read the damn book
I had just finished watching the movie, so I wasn't thinking about the book.
I have a general fear of water.. I just panic and freeze up if someone tries to get me into deep(More than 1 meter) water. It fucking sucks!
I'm not much help because I can't remember a time when I couldn't swim.
I was taught to swim by my father who is a huge hydrophobe. I think you'll get the hang of it after a while.
My suggestion is to learn to rest on your back first, then learn to tread water. There may be some secret to teaching swimming that I don't know, but that's how I'd go about doing it. Good luck!
Don't drink the water cause it's full of fish pee

Don't you mean chlorine.
Don't be a pussy
Listen to what he says and you'll be fine
That's great advice.
so how was the lesson?
I have been swimming for as long as I can remember. I moved a few years ago and haven't joined the local clubs, but Im fairly confident in my swimming skills, when we swim for school Im usually the best in my class, so Im pretty comfortable in any water, never really even thought about it that much as swimming is like walking to me.

people pee*
It is like swimming in hl2
if u cant swim in my country ur fucked, i went to swim classes with mums when i was 4 or 5 i dont remember well. i also went to school swimming when i was in primary school, i dont know if this is still done with the current generation.
i dont see how ur supposed to drown in pools when ur;
1. keeping air in ur lungs
2. fat
even having a little bit of air in your lungs does help.
you literally have to get rid of all air if you want to sink :v:
unless you're really fat
Everyone should know how to swim.

Only two minutes?
I ain't been swimming in ages, pain in the ass with hair that goes half way down your back.
Ha I could already swim at the age of 6.
Whenever I'm swimming, and get bored/tired/stranded I just lie on my back and float to safety. Sometimes works too
so how was the lesson?
