Because it was bullshit. If Allen was an undercover C.I.A. agent, then he could have easily captured or killed Makarov if he managed to get that close to him. No, instead the C.I.A. gave the a-okay to go ahead with the massacre, which will end up with hundreds dead and which will put their agent's life in danger. When he was in that elevator he could have easily killed those two other guys and captured Makarov. I'm pretty sure Russia's not bat-shit insane enough that they will ignore America's message of "hey, you know, that Makarov dude... he's going to shoot up this airport." They could have easily helped capture Makarov, seeing as how he's retarded enough to go out in public and risk everything he worked for just to go bang bang bang. He's a terrorist leader, for crying out loud. Not to mention that somehow Allen managed to fool Makarov and his gang long enough to be able to stand a few feet away from him, but the Russian government took one look at him, saw that he was American, and decided to go to all out war with America for no goddamn reason whatsoever. No need to ask America about it, no need to be suspicious that somehow another superpower would attack them using a shitty 4 man terrorist act, just lololol time to go to war. Story's shit. Sorry.
Except Shepard had motives to go ahead with the massacre. Did you not play the game at all?
I remember I didn't shoot anyone on that level. I actually took the level seriously enough to just shoot around the crowd :saddowns:
Rated Funny.
What are you talking about? It was stated early on that Makarov did a bunch of shit. From the Call of Duty Wikia he took part in "kidnapping, human trafficking of women, hijackings, money laundering, terror bombings of military/civilian targets, drug trafficking, assassinations, etc." Those were all shown in the newspaper clippings during the first loading screen. Plus, I'm pretty sure a top-secret undercover operative wouldn't have his fingerprints in an international database.
Wow. Try playing the game before talking about it. It's pretty obvious that you haven't played it, or if you have, you weren't paying attention to shit.
Rated Funny.
Nobody cares what you rated. Really.
^ Way to be an ass about it.
^ Way to be an ass about it.
People only say "Rated _____" if they're trying to be an ass, so it works out. Making fun of him for not shooting innocent people is terrible.
allen sure got sonic boom'd
People only say "Rated _____" if they're trying to be an ass, so it works out. It's like in Half life with the scientists, don't even try to deny that at one point you took a shot at them for the proverbial lulz.

You're clearly supposed to feel bad for firing into the crowd, just because you're "too cool" for emotions doesn't mean everyone is perfectly fine with that sort of mission. You're allowed to skip it for a reason.
Well I guess you got me there. I still think the whole "skippable mission that is controversial as fuck" thing is a publicity stunt. Mind you I am not talking about the story behind the mission or the emotional impact, but the "skippable" portion really plays it off as an attention grab and nothing more. You don't have a movie pause and ask if you want to skip the next scene because it is emotionally gripping and controversial, nor do you have a "WARNING: CONTROVERSY IN THE NEXT CHAPTER SKIP IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE BALLS" label in a book.
you're a robot if you think that this level didn't add any depth to the game at all you're a picky fucker if you think that this scene isn't awesome take your pick or be both
>MW2 >Depth
You don't think it had any depth? Did you play the game?
I played it, it was a fucking laugh riot all the way through. MAH MEN DIED, SO I START WORLD WAR 3
Wow. Try playing the game before talking about it. It's pretty obvious that you haven't played it, or if you have, you weren't paying attention to shit.
What exactly was I not paying attention to?
It's funny because you're the same three fags who keep bashing StinkyJoe
He practically bashes himself. Sorry to ruin your image of his awesome trolling abilities.
You're comparing enjoying a YouTube video to a mental disorder? Really, kid? Your name doesn't suit you, you act like a five year old.
Um... yeah? If you enjoy retarded stuff that says something about you, I'm sure you'd agree. Who's the kid again? You're last 3 posts where perpetuating an argument about pure opinion on a topic that really isn't related to the thread. Stupid kid.
I found this video entertaining.

The look on his face at the start is priceless.
You're not watching people die in a movie, you're committing the act yourself. Virtual or not, some people are bothered by that fact.
It could be even less impactful if you play it yourself, like the person a few posts back said you could try and only shoot the priority targets and not the people.
It could be even less impactful if you play it yourself, like the person a few posts back said you could try and only shoot the priority targets and not the people.
That's a choice made by the player. Everyone is different, I'm not going to list every possible action and thought had by every MW2 player, that'd be silly.
Well if the player consciously chooses to mow down the crowd then they obviously don't have much of a psychological problem with it then do they?
My large nose.
OH SHIT! That's a pretty big nose.
Well if the player consciously chooses to mow down the crowd then they obviously don't have much of a psychological problem with it then do they?
I guess not? I don't see the point you're trying to make, haha.
OH SHIT! That's a pretty big nose.
:smug:
I guess not? I don't see the point you're trying to make, haha.
I'm saying if people have a problem with it they can try and not kill the innocents, the sheer fact you are behind the killing of those people in the game and that you do it yourself also gives you the ability to not do so.

It's not that hard to understand. You are playing that mission and you care for the innocent pixels on the screen, you attempt to only shoot the ones critical to the mission. You are playing that mission and you do not care, you let loose and fire away.
