yes, people have oddly colored hair in real life
yes, you can have oddly colored hair on your characters without being influenced by anime
however, i will still think of anime when i see oddly colored hair, as anime employs oddly colored hair on it's character's more often than other subcultures of artwork

Hell. Anime uses the colours in the hair to convey their personality.
Not that weird since the character designs they often have is so minimal that many are only separated by the hair and it's colour.

Nnah, they're actually pretty different. Different shapes in the details of the face and details themselves, like their eyebrows and his beard.
I am in no way saying they have super original character design. I'm saying they are very distinguishable. You wouldn't confuse them for somebody else, although you would possibly have a hard time just remembering who the fuck they were at all.
