I have an exam soon so I can't read them now, but I've read up to page 5 and so far I'm really liking it. Seems well written and the graphics are clean.
WOw I just realized this is called zombie waffe thought it was zombie waffle
Finished reading in about 15 minutes, was a 15 minutes I'm glad I spent on something.
Yeah it's really good, I got one of my friends into it and now I'm telling the other to read it as well
Ugh these png's take too long to load. They are like 500kb each. Enjoying the comic though.
dude i load 17mb images in a few seconds, get better internet that isn't from the stone age
It's not my internet, it's the web server or something else along the way.
Detlef. Please find a stopping place for the web comic, find a production team and start selling physical copies. I'm begging you.
Not untill I have more pages. or at least the third chaper finished
Detlef. Please find a stopping place for the web comic, find a production team and start selling physical copies. I'm begging you.
It would be good if he was to make books of 100 pages each or something like that, as episodes of the overall story. But really Detlef, you are seriously skilled. Can I ask how you produce your graphics? You should definitely take some prints to a publisher, this could be a big hit with young teens.
I made this tutorial once [editline]16th May 2011[/editline] dunno how helpful it is
I made this tutorial once [img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/tutorial1.png[/img_thumb] [editline]16th May 2011[/editline] dunno how helpful it is
Now all I need is to be able to draw :v: Your shading was so clean I was expecting some kind of wizardry.
Now all I need is my pen tablet. Which is gonna be hard to do as it's over a thousand miles away in a different state. ...I could really do with a new one, anyways.
the comic icon is gone :(
Why does your domain show the newest entry first. It spoils the story a bit.
that's how wecomics are. I rarely read webcomics where the newest page aint on the front page. What I have to go LOOK for it? fuck that. This is how most webcomic peeps do it and I'm just copying them
Maybe have a front page with a big "LATEST EPISODE" image link, then below that, one for "FIRST EPISODE" I'd still put some of your amazing artwork on there though to draw newbies in.
nope I really like it like this. So does most of my fans
I'm used to seeing the latest update on the main page in every comic I read
nope I really like it like this. So does most of my fans
To be honest it seriously puts me off. I like when comics have a blog linked to the latest comic like a coversheet on the index. To be fair most comics do put up the latest strip, forcing me to instead bookmark the Archive page. However, your archiving has neither descriptive titling nor alternate hover/visited colours for the pagelinks. Result, even though I really like your work & the comic, I haven't looked at it in ages.. =[
I'm sorry but actually going to the site and read the comic is fully up to you. If you can't bother to check what u have missed then you can't have been that interested to begin with [editline]20th May 2011[/editline] Imma give u some examples with some of the most popular graphic novels http://boxerhockey.fireball20xl.com/ http://www.meekcomic.com/ http://hanna.aftertorque.com/ http://www.thezombiehunters.com/index.php works like a charm for them. and I really think if first time readers goes into my site and see a page they might get more interested than seeing a boring blog post
But I'm a fan! The thing is, I'm also a fan of other things, which don't have the hassle involved. So if it's a toss-up, these issues will tip the balance against you. I'm obviously not the only person following you that feels the same. Could you please just make visited links parse a different colour? I'll have no complaints to make if you do, since anyone who doesn't wanna see the latest comic every time they go to the index will have an alternative. It's not that I'm not bothered to keep up with ZW, it's just unnecessarily awkward unless I check it all the time As for those examples, the first has title descriptions so it's reasonable, the second has the same problem as yours, and the third and fourth don't have any proper archiving at all... I don't understand how they have any followers without archive pages. But that's irrelevant really
i dont understand how there's a hassle involved [editline]20th May 2011[/editline] i do not agree with anything you're saying at all and i think you're being fussy over something that doesn't even require any further thought
There's hassle because I don't know which page I was on the last time I read ZW. I can't take advantage of cookies because the archive page doesn't have alternate hyperlink colours, so I either have to start again (which I probably will in this case because it's been a while and I don't have too much to go over again) or I can just start guessing what page I was on, which could spoil something and will take a couple of minutes, which is annoying.
Sorry Makoskydub but the needs of the many outweighs the needs of the few
I don't get it; are you guys just not understanding what I say so you just play safe and give me boxes? C'mon Det, it's one line in CSS :/ "The many" aren't losing anything!
tho what u actually wanted was for me to change the entire frontpage. that's not one line in css buddy.
That was Jallen. I just want you to add a style for text decoration on the archive page so that I know which links I've previously visited. That way I can bookmark your archive page and keep up to date from there like I do on other webcomics. Without this, things become a bit awkward as I explained above
Could you please just make visited links parse a different colour?
^ What I wanted [editline]20th May 2011[/editline] I repeat; please? ;o
u know the site I have now will be totaly remade next month with comicpress. So if you can hold on until then. Then I finally don't have to code every single page I submit
'kay then
