I'm sorry to put penises in your thread, detlef, but I couldn't resist.
I think Mako put out some good advice on his post. The character jumping one I like in particular because, as he said, you are only telling the story in a linear fashion through one characters viewpoint, but it doesn't have to be that way.
This is a great comic and a lot of people think so. Don't just let the fact that you're not talking to them keep you down. If you already got an internet deal, then it's pretty obvious many people like it.

I'd take quality of the content over speed of delivery any day.
Granted, a more frequent release rate would most likely aid in the endeavor to acquire new fans.
