Wanting to EOD in the Air Force is a right pain in the ass. I have the scores, fitness and potential.
The real issue? Everyone throws a fucking fit over it because of what they see in the media. Mom throws a fit. Father makes up bullshit in an duel-headed attempt to make me not want to go and to make Mom upset. Boyfriend gets depressed. What they don't know is that the mortality rate is somewhere around 1 in ever 100,000. That's not counting people who lose limbs, but it's not a suicidal job. You have to go through incredibly hard schooling just to even touch the field. It's annoying finding one thing in life where you can say "Yeah, I wanna do that" while everyone you love gets all dramatic over it.
