When Summer of '12 rolls around, I'm going to book myself a week in Sweden to see how far I can trace my Mother's family tree. Any tips/tricks of getting around? And don't worry, I'm studying Swedish soon.
If you want to get laid, go to a bar in a smaller town or a suburb and speak Swedish with a thick American accent.

While you're here you should go to Trollywood! It is awesome here! But seriously, Trollhättan is a really nice place. Roughly 20,000 people live here and it is beautiful. It's easy to get around and lots of things to see if you are interested. I highly recommend checking out Film i Väst (also called "Trollywood").
1. Shy people, but still very friendly. 3. Summertime in Sweden is awesome. 4. Universities that attract alot of foreign people. 5. Scandinavian girls <3 6. There are still viking tribes scattared along the east and west coast. (can be very dangerous to enter their territories) 7. Peace loving people.
Do you live on the countryside?
I live in a small and quiet town, which is probably the entire reason of why I find Stockholm to be a shithole
If you ever go to Northwest of Skåne (It's a popular country south of Sweden, in it is actually another country named Nimis. Their McDonals there are awesome.) If you go to Skåne during sommertime, you shalt see me naked. [editline]9th October 2011[/editline] I have some pictures somewhere.. Don't try to learn Swedish unless you are gonna live there for 5+ years. It's one of the hardest fucking languages ever. And why the fuck do you guys insist on making Sweden look like Somalia? It's not violent at all.

Also, Sweden is better the more north you get, Stockholm or higher! P.s, today when I was driving through Jämtland, it started snowing!
It's one of the hardest fucking languages ever.
No, not really. If anything Swedish would be one of the easier languages to learn if you are from an English-speaking country. Languages such as German, Spanish, French, Finnish, Russian etc. are much more complex grammatically, while Swedish has a very simple grammar.
I'm still waiting for the snow to come, we've had like -5 every day of the week but no clouds so no snow yet [editline]9th October 2011[/editline]
No, not really. Your train will be late, other than that it's quite nice.
Wasted Penguinz!
Your train will be late, other than that it's quite nice.
There's a 70% chance of that happening.
That is all.
Ungrateful bastards. We did help Finland by both sending men and supplies as well as offering refuge to your people when Russia attacked you. Sweden is awesome, just avoid any of the bigger cities. Every countries have big cities, but few has as beautiful and varying landscape we do.
I go to Sweden every month to go shopping.
It's very very very cheap there.
Because of this.
I go to Sweden every month to go shopping. Because of this.
Damn norwegians! <3
There's a 70% chance of that happening.
The trains man, the trains. Don't go to Sweden, It's full of assholes like me :v: Nah but seriously, Sweden is a pretty great place and even though some people make it out to be alot more violent than other countries, such occurances are very rare here.
