I love me a thread full of reaction pics.
umm yeah? that's a movie
Would be so epic if it was real though.
1/3 of the time animals where on earth dinos were there as well. I mean they practically rule the animal kingdom.
I just watched all three Jurassic Park movies today. The first one was the only good one, imho. There's just something magical about when they first enter the park, it's like an experience one cannot forget. Scratch that, there's something magical about the whole movie.
I heard scientists could create dinosaurs out of the DNA trapped in fossils or amber, I hope so.
Nostalgia from some old dinosaur movie when I was 5
I saw people getting eaten by dinosaurs and enjoyed it.

Theoretically it is possible, without a doubt. However the question is whether or not we can do it with modern science and technology or if we can find an intact DNA sample. And if we can't find an intact 100% DNA sample, just do what they did in the movie and use another animals DNA to fill in the blanks.
Thread Content=Size of trilobite.
Some Trilobites could measure up to 6 feet in diameter. :colbert:
Albeit species unnamed so-far, these beasts could scuttle across the ground at 10 MPH. Faster than I can run :v:
Great, more threads about dinosaurs! :q:
Brontosaurus never existed
Actually it was renamed to Apatosaurus, Brontosaurus is just the old name of it. It's the same thing with for example Megapnosaurus, formerly known as Syntarsus
They evolved into modern lizards and birds
Dinosaurs are NOT related to lizards in any way or form (Except in that they're reptiles). Lizards are a completely different kind of diapsid reptiles. In fact, plesiosaurs and mosasaurs (This ones were basically marine Komodo dragons) were much more related to lizards than dinosaurs
Actually they're more akin to carnivorous turkeys :(
I think they would look more like this:

Since they lived in deserts they probably had a very thick feather coat, something between a roadrunner and a vulture, with a bare-skinned head (Look at all those big ratite birds that run fast, like ostriches. They have bare-skinned heads and necks. It wouldn't be surprising that Velociraptors had this feather pattern too. On top of that, they were meat eaters, so bare heads would help them to be clean all the time). Keep in mind that they needed to be agile and fast to hunt those Protoceratops, a excessively fluffy plumage would be an annoyance for them.

I liked the second one aswell, the third was the one that killed the franchise imo.

I thought the second one was okay, but there was just weird. Like the whole San Francisco thing and how they risked their lives to heal a baby T-Rex's leg. And it just seemed to have too much action and too little story and background.
I would definitely rate the mesozoic era a 10 out of 10. I mean the 1st part started slow and cool but ended in a great climax cliff hanger which then was the exact start of the 2nd movie filled with even more climax and I loved the villain for the 3rd part which I thought had an amazing villain, tyrannosaurus rex but was relatable because he had arm problems. Sadly though they killed everyone off at the end of the 3rd part and it made me sad. (sorry for spoilers) I just hope the next project cenozoic will be as worth the hype.

Man, if we could re-create dinosaurs... Just thinking about it makes me all happy :allears:
Ha, memories of when I was a child; Me and my friend collected toy dinosaurs..we each must have had a toy chest full of them. We would line them up on the deck of my house in single-file all the way around the house proclaiming to everyone who walked by "They're going to the Great Valley!"
:frown:
