I wouldn't be surprised if Ray Romano took over the manager he and Jim Carrey both have the humor that can fit. So did Will Ferrel but he obviously didn't want to do it long.
Will Ferrel wasn't very good anyway. He did a good job but he just doesn't fit in the Office. His character was all over the place too.
Did anyone else think it was hilarious how absolutely no one really cared Gabe was leaving.
I thought everybody said bye to him?
Ray Ramano would be awesome as a paranoid manager, totally new dynamic to the show. Jim Carrey would be fun as hell, even just from the tiny clip at the end. I don't really want any of the current cast as the manager though, especially with Gabe leaving, I want to see a new character.
I thought everybody said bye to him?
But it was the kind of bye you would hear from a bunch of school children being forced to listen to a boring guest speaker give a lecture on economics.
If find it odd that they're having that vote on the website, and it shows the potential (serious) candidates for the manager. For whatever reason, Jim Carrey's picture is up with them yet you can not vote for him, weird that they included him on the page but not a lot of the others, yet he's not selectable. A little suspicious.
It's just for fun so it shouldn't matter
Well he was only in the episode for about 10 seconds.
His picture is still up though, while others who had a lot more screen time aren't, and are not even available to be voted for, let alone mentioned.
Well he was only in the episode for about 10 seconds.
And they Jim pretty much implied there was no chance in hell they were going to hire him.
That boss assistant girl, forgot her name, has no place in the show. She hasn't really said anything and its just an extra character for the sake of adding one, adds nothing to the ensemble. Get rid.

I absolutely love Erin, she entertains me at least.
Who, Erin Hannon? I absolutely love Erin, she entertains me at least.
No, not her. He means the assistant Deangelo got to prove he wasn't sexist. I'm sure they'll get rid of her.
Jordan.
I thought the interaction between her and dwight was funny. The way they act almost reminds me of little kids.
She's gonna be a season regular next season. Obviously if you're just gonna start working some place you're gonna start off small. Erin started off pretty small, now look at her. I'm sure they'll develop Jordan with a bigger role.

I started the Office since season 2 and just landed on Season 6. I still didn't get to see the Jim and Pam marriage or the Michael Scott Paper Company.
I didn't like Will Ferrel at all to be honest. I like him as an actor but I didn't like his character.
I didn't like Will Ferrel at all to be honest. SNL's humor is more outlandish and outrageous, while The Office's humor derives from awkward situations that happen between the characters.
He hasn't been very funny in recent years anyway.
He hasn't been very funny in recent years anyway.
I thought The Other Guys was fucking amazing
has anyone realized how god damned big his eyes are?
Jenna Fischer made an auction on eBay to visit the set for a day, meet the cast, and watch a scene get filmed from the green room. The money is going to the Joplin tornado victims. It ended up going for $6.1k, I mean if the motivation was for a good cause then it makes sense but the visit itself seems worth maybe a couple hundred or at most a thousand. Here's a link to the auction. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270763829480 And on an unrelated note, I've gotta finish putting together my Princess Unicorn gift for my friend. I found a near exact replica of it without the horn and even had the same wand, I just have to glue on some labels and stick a horn on it.
Ed Helms on James Spader Joining the Cast [release]IGN TV: What's it like throwing James Spader into the mix? Is it a completely different energy? Ed Helms: Yeah, it's insane. It's like a splash of tobacco into your ordinary chicken noodle soup. I love our characters and we all have our colors and our traits and it's an exciting ensemble. But to throw an energy like that in… He's so confident, Robert California, that no one is equipped to deal with it. And to watch us try -- Andy in particular, actually -- is really fun. [/release] [release]IGN: What does Andy make of this guy? Helms: Well he's kind of mortified and hypnotized and beguiled all at once. And he's desperately seeking his approval. But that's sort of James' energy – he's the guy you want to impress all the time. And he brings that to Robert California. So much gravitas! So Andy's sort of struggling to measure up. [/release] [release]IGN: Obviously it's different without Steve, but is it fun for you to have such a different energy to play off of? Helms: I'm telling you, there's so much... Everything that I love about the show is still there. The energy and the interplay and the dynamic between these characters… Steve is sorely missed as both an energy on the show and a person and a sensibility on set, but there's something so familiar that we're sort of powering on in an exciting way. And Robert California, James Spader, is just a wonderful dash of spice to kind of get us into a new area. And to really push our characters into weird places. [/release] [release]IGN: We know Robert is actually the new CEO, which makes me think, well, that means that the actual manager of the office is still open... Helms: Yes! [/release] [release]IGN: So is that still a source of drama as the season opens? Helms: Um… Tune in and find out! [/release] [release]IGN: [Laughs] Understood! So what about Erin and Andy? Can those two work things out? Helms: Aw man! I just really love them and I think they're sort of star-crossed in a way. It's always a struggle and I think that's going to be a fun through-line. But you're also going to learn a lot more about who Andy is – like where did he come from? That to me is really compelling and fun. There's a garden party episode at Shrute Farms where we actually meet some of Andy's family and I'm very excited about that. Because it's always fun to kind of introduce other areas of our characters that are outside of Dunder Mifflin, but also for me, it's going to provide so much more information, for me as an actor to infuse Andy with. So that'll be fun! [/release] [release]IGN: If you ask me, the greatest mystery on TV right now is 'Who is the Scranton Strangler?' Do you have your own theories or have they told you anything? Helms: [Laughs] Oh, that's great. It is a fun mystery! And it's not lost on the writers. I think that's a wonderful subject to dip back into from time to time. [/release] [release]IGN: Well, what I think is great with the show is that could be the subject of an entire episode or it could be in the background on a TV set. Helms: Right, yeah. Well that's why the show is so rich. And I would never make an overt comparison by content, because they're so different, but a show like The Simpsons and a show like The Office, you have such a great cast of characters that you can dip into at any time. And stories.... these little mythologies that kind of track through. And that I think is part of what's going to define the post Steve Carell era for The Office, is a real celebration of this ensemble and what everyone is capable of and really kind of bringing different parts of the cast and family to the forefront at different times and learning a lot more about these people. It's kind of like learning more of the mythology about who people are, sort of like the way Lost would – you're learn all these crazy things about people. That's kind of what this garden party might be for Andy, is that. And so for people who are interested in Andy and why is he this way -- where did this psychology come from? -- it'll be fun. [/release]
Just watched episode 8 of season 5, and I have to say, the bit at the start is the funniest thing I have ever seen! (when Michael sees Toby in the annexe) I think I saw a gif of Micahel's reaction ages ago before I started watching the show Michael's whole unjustified hate for Toby is hilarious actually
Watched Seasons 1-7 and now await the 8th. Haven't liked many shows enough to watch all episodes of every season...

That is definitely the funniest part.
I just saw Stupid, Crazy, Love and I imagined that it was Michael's life after he left the Office.
I just finished The Office (uk) It was amazing. Such a great mini series. Glad they continued it with the american version.
I've almost finished Season 7 now and the episode where [sp]michael leaves[/sp] has literally brought me to tears, I hope my brother doesn't turn around and see my crying like a baby [editline]19th August 2011[/editline] goddamnit I can't take this I don't think I've ever cried like this before :(
