This happened to me when i was young, but then i got fat and now everything is much better. Nyoro~n
None of this "You stood up too hast hurf durf" bullshit.
What? Standing up too quickly is one of the best ways to produce the effect. Go read my post earlier. How do you think the tilt table test works?
I have no idea how this happened, but here it goes: Usally, when I wake up and do my first day stretch, I kinda go "part blind". Im not sure if anyone else would get it, but the corners of my eyes would go black and I couldnt see. I assume this happens to everyone, but thats not what I'm here to tell you. Today, I woke up and was sitting on a chair. I got up, had a stretch, then bam, the eye thing happened. Only this time, it consumed my whole eyes, I couldnt see anything, my eyelids were open, but I was completly blind. I then felt myself fall to the floor. A few minutes later I was woken up by someone in the house, who assumed I was just playing around. Anyone know what this could possibly mean?
Happens a lot to people, mostly not to a point of blacking out, It's some sort of Postural Hypotension, If you're Tall with Normal or low Blood pressure (Probably since you're just waking up) this probably could also be a cause
After reading the OP a couple more times today, I've realized that the OP must be 12 or younger... Everyone knows this to be common knowledge that standing up too quickly can cause the blood to go fucking insane in the membrane. I mean... Seriously...?
I get this as well, but I've never passed out because of it.

I used to have this problem a lot, but it doesn't happen anymore for some reason.
I haven't read the whole thread but this is a result from not enough blood/oxygen getting to your brain. The same exact effect happens to fighter pilots that pull too much G's
It's called a headrush. Basically when you get up, all the blood rushes from your head down into your body, causing dizziness and sometimes, if you get up too fast, you can make yourself pass out. I get that too, which is why I make it a habit of getting up relatively slowly so it doesn't happen. I don't have low blood sugar or anything, so I figure it's normal. Didn't bother to read through thread, so if I'm late, rate me clocks.
I used to have a similar problem. I took a medicine called Clonidine and one of the side-effects was that my blood pressure or something was really high. So whenever I got up really fast or something, I would get lightheaded. I only fainted once though.
Off topic sorta: When people are beheaded they instantly pass out and go blind from extreme blood loss to the brain, however the brain remains active for about 5 minutes until it dies from lack of oxygen.
Man, one of these days they got to behead somebody, and then put their head back on after like 4 minutes and ask them what it was like. I wonder if you see shit and have hallucinations about Jesus and angels and all that, or if you're just going "FUCK FUCK FUCK OW OW OW FUCK IT HURTS FUCK WHY CAN'T I SEE FUCK FUCK" until you die...
You should try getting some excercise. Remember not to stay in a seated position for more than 1-2 hours straight too often.
Uh, this happens to everyone in my family so I've always assumed it's normal.
:raise: Interesting. Possibly a link with genetics...

And it can become hard to control yourself when you can't fucking see... But I've never passed out.
I've had the whole "stand up and go partially blind" thing, I think it's just the blood rushing to your head after sitting/lying down for so long, stretching amplifies the results, so I'd advise just standing up for a while before stretching.
Possibly a link with genetics...
There are little to no known links with a heart condition that gives you these symptoms.
I think it's just the blood rushing to your head after sitting/lying down for so long
Not to your head, it's leaving your head and other vital organs.
You had a FlashForward, if you didn't your going to die. Don't worry you can stop it.
This happens when you dont get enough bloodlflow to your head, when you stand up suddenly your heart must pump faster, but it doesnt always catch up fast enough. I see a purple ring start to close, but I have never made it fully closed or passed out, if you are slightly over weight or have a heart problem you might make it further, and passout. Don't see a doctor, but lose some weight or take some vitamins.
Happens to me, Because I usually get 3 hours of sleep
people have said it before me but headrush it happens to me sometimes, nothing really to worry about
I get the SAME exact black eye thing, it's kinda fun though, lol.
that happens to me if I don't eat for a while. It's happened to me before when I got up off the couch after a hard day's school and work and I passed out and woke up back on the fucking couch.
Yea When I take stretches sometimes I get really dizzy, but I've never passed out from anything, in my life. Even the method to purposely pass you out never worked. If your wondering which one I'm talking about, it's the one when you lie down and breath heavily for 30 seconds, then you get up without breathing out, and someone squeezes your stomach, it worked on everyone except me. No fair... I want to pass out.
This happens, and I try not to fall down. Sucks when it happens on stairs.
I always get head rushes and my vision is completely consumed in black, and i see all these white outlined squares and triangles and weird shapes. I can never see anything at all, one time I fell down the stairs, but I never pass out.

But seriously, eat more food, it could be the fact that you aren't getting enough nutrition.
Got up to fast and passed out.
This is not normal. You have very low blood pressure and need to get it checked out, possibly start drinking coffee to increase it to get rid of the blackouts. I've also got low blood pressure but only very rarely does it make me go a bit 'fuzzy' when standing up, not every day.
Really? I have this, and everyone I've mentioned it to has it.
